Good Evening
Shawna (the hospice nurse) came today and brought me Morphine just in case Mommy would need it for Respiratory distress. She said she doesn't think we will, but they try to always have anything they MIGHT need readily available so the patient will suffer no pain. Her vitals are starting to change alittle...Her diastolic is running 94-96 and her Pulse is 104-106. Her lungs are clear, she hears no fluid...This is good. She isn't in any distress but if we think she is, we will medicate her accordingly. Shawna said she will come back tomorrow if I want her to, but I told her not unless there was a significant change. She said if I need her at any time to call and she will come right up AND she is not afraid of a little bit of snow.
