Well I wish I had traveled with some of you guys! Me and Jacob came by ourselves and after about an hour and ahalf I got so sleepy and it started to rain. We pulled off the road before we even got to WV and rented a room. I had to go to sleep for about 2 hours. Then we didn't get home til about 9pm.
Jacob ended up with an ear infection and sinus infection. I took him to the dr. on tuesday. he has missed 2 days of school with it. I also took Daddy to the dr yesterday. His kidney functions are still kind of bad so she decreased his fluid pills to just 3 times a week. He hadn't lost weight but neither had he gained. Still anemic, but has been for quite a while. Mommy stayed home and rested up. They have been canning tomatoes since they got home.
Monica I love the pictures you took especially the one of Mommys hand holding the rail of the golf cart. And the one of them "snitching the seeds" They look like theives!!

Monica, I think those yellow flowers might be Sneezeweed.

I believe the count around the pool was 49!! Teresa passed us somewhere between Mineral Wells and Charleston so we ended up meeting with them at the Tamarak Plaza. When they left, we went on over to the Tamarak. I had never been in there before. It was neat. I'd like to go again and take a little more time. Adam had been craving Taco Bell for 2 days so we thought we would stop in Princeton for lunch (at 4pm). We came off the exit and Adam spotted the Taco Bell sign right off. As we approached, the sign underneath it read "Closed for remodeling". As we got closer and passed the building in front of it, it was closed alright. Taco Bell had been demolished and there was a little bulldozer sitting in the middle of where it used to be haha. We stopped at Long John's instead. I think we are going to go to Bridge Day on October 17th. Maybe we'll see some of you there?
Monica~those are so good. Amy and Greg~thanks for hosting the party! You have a beautiful home and the kids loved it. I can just see about 6 kids filling the back yard! Does anyone remember how many we counted around the pool? We came as far as Mineral Wells with Steve and Teresa, (see, she's not mad at me) had lunch with them, and then we had to go our separate ways cause Teresa had to go shopping :) Mommy and Daddy were glad to be home. Mommy told Daddy that it seemed like they had been gone so long.
Remember when I made Kraut about 3 weeks ago? Well, it made, Hallelujar!! I canned tomatoes and Kraut yesterday after the kids left. Kaiden was so glad to see Papaw. He kept saying, "Papaw" like he hadn't seen him for months. Wouldn't leave his side. A raccoon got in my corn last night and ate 9 ears. I'm going to catch him tonight and shoot him in the morning!!

Sunday, while we were at Amy's, I caught Grandpa helping himself to some daisy seeds. I asked them if they wanted me to get them a plastic baggy to put them in and Grandma said, "No, I'll just put them in my jacket pocket." I told her not to forget about them or they would have a washer full of flowers. Saturday, Dan took some of us on a tour of the property and I believe Grandma and Grandpa really enjoyed it. You know Grandpa was all about the flowers, plants and trees. It was very informative actually. Dan told us alot of things about this and that and I must say I had a wonderful time.
Letha, Gary, Mike and Janis: I am so glad that I got to spend time at Mommy and Daddy's with Uncle Lee and Aunt Carol after the 4th. I will always treasure those memories, especially the ones where we all sat down to big meals with the thanks to God and all the wonderful food! Your dad seemed to especially enjoy that also.

Monica- I have to get adult conversation when i can- the kids were napping for a "MINUTE". Greg, wish I had known you were also a Birthday boy. Yours is the same day as dad's birthday. We could have thrown you in the pool or something. Anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! The kids want to go over to Amy's this evening for a swim...like it is just down the road!

Uncle Lee really loved his grandkids too. He talked about them all the time too. I know Daddy will treasure those few days he had with him in July. I am sure they recalled younger days and older times while he was there. We will miss him.
Love to all the family!
Please let us know the arrangements and where we can send flowers!
