Montana/Reese

We think that Montana had inflamation of her pancreas due to her getting some ham scraps that she knocked of the table.  She started Sunday throwing up and she just never got better.  Reese had to be taken last night to the emergency vet because she was throwing up and we thought she may have had the same thing as Montana but they had to do surgery and she had a tear in her bladder and they had to remove some of her intestine due to infection she also had some kind of stones so they removed those too.  She is in stable condition but they still don't know if she'll pull thru so please pray for her to get better.

Finding Good in Goodbye: Resolution: Recovery

Finding Good in Goodbye: Resolution: Recovery: It's been just over a month since my husband passed away and I'm told the loss will get easier to deal with, but so far that isn't the case...

I thought you all may enjoy reading this blog.  It is written by the miners wife who died last month in an accident.

Happy Birthday, Marleigh's Dad!!
Did Montana get sick and die, or was it something else?
Yes, we have her sister Coaley.  She seems in good health, still frisky running around and such.  Eats any and everything!  She has begun to get the growths on her head and eyelids tho'.
Yes it's a washer! She found it on Pinterest! Had Montana been sick or was it just her age? Either way sad to see her go. Bobbie did you guys have one of Montana's siblings?
Happy birthday mark! I would love to see a video of marleigh singing to you:)
Happy Birthday Mark
Looks like a coat hanger wire.

Bye Montana,  Goodnight
Teresa and Steve, I am so sorry about Montana =(::::

Trish, that looks like something out of the garage...Something that goes behind a nut, a washer??

Yes!  Happy New Year Everyone! We missed all of you who couldn't be with us last weekend. As usual, Teresa and Steve had the homestead looking like Santa's village.  Very Christmassy indeed! But when the trimmings come down it is still Faith, Family and Friends that help us make it through the new year.  I wish (no, I pray) for you a blessed new year with the hand of God in all you do!  I hope all of you (now) start making your plans to be with us in September.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if ALL of us could make it this year! It's possible! God could work it out!

Happy New Year everyone!!  Love to all xoxo
Sassy Tailgate Sandwiches (by Caryn Ross-in Taste of Home magazine)

12 Hawaiian sweet rolls, split
1 lb. shaved Black Forest Ham
12 oz. Gruyere cheese, sliced
1 tub (8 oz.) Philadelphia Chive and Onion Cream Cheese
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp. dried minced onion

* Arrange bottoms of rolls in a greased 13x9 inch baking dish.  Layer with ham and Gruyere cheese.  Spread each roll top with cream cheese; place over Gruyere.
* In a small bowl, combine the butter, Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce and onion.  Pour over sandwiches.  Let stand for at least 20 minutes.
* Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated through.

The first time I made these I followed the ingredients as written.  This time I couldn't find the Gruyere cheese and the deli was already closed so I used regular sliced ham out of the cold case and sliced Provolone cheese.  If you don't like ham I'm sure you could use turkey, roast beef, etc. and it would still turn out yummy!!    :)

Christmas 2012

Well, for those of you who couldn't be with us I did take a pretty special gift. I had to talk myself into taking it though instead of keeping it for myself. Mom and Ruth had made a Hallmark recordable storybook for Janet and Amy. They recorded Grandma Vivian reading Bright & Beautiful. I found the book on Ebay and copied it from Janet's original book and put it in the gift game. It was just really nice to be able to hear Grandma's voice again!

Miss marleigh with her candy cane. The picture of me is one of many she took with my camera. Unfortunately most of them were of her finger😄
