I just left the emergency room. I have been fighting this disease for about six weeks now. My auto immune disease is full blown. She thinks the hand surgery triggered it. She told me if I would stay home from work and rest she wouldn't admit me. So off to bed I go. I, unfortunately will begin the high dose of steroids again. So that 70 pounds I lost....I will probably find. Also starting a new immunosuppressnt. So you guys pray hard, marleigh ,Clara , Olivia , Kaiden, all you little guys that means you too!
Whenever I was little, power outages meant heading up to Grandma's. For some reason she always had power when we didn't (and if she didn't, she had the stoves). I remember Daddy's car got stuck at the bottom of the hill and me and Tanner walked up and ate Jell-o and watched movies with Grandma while they dug it out.
I think winter might finally be done in Morgantown. Looks like 60s and low 70s for this next week. I have all of my finals this coming week, then our spring break, then back for another month and a half before summer.
Love and miss you all...have a good weekend everybody!

Bobbie, I will post pictures of us in sweats on the beach. haha The one day that it was warm, we all got a little sunburned. oops!
We had a nice, relaxing time but the trip back was...interesting. To sum it up, these are the texts that were sent on the trip home.
Janet~ (1pm) We are headed home, been on the road about 3 hrs.
Monica~ Be careful coming home, it is sleeting here.
Janet~ Where r u? Home? It's 38 and raining here but I have no idea where we r.
Monica~ I am at work but it it supposed to change to rain later in the day.
Janet~ (2pm) Ice here
I took about an hour nap until Monica woke me up.
Monica~ Our rain turned out to be snow everything is covered be careful coming thru va
Janet~ (3pm) uh yeah, two inches on the interstate and we are stuck in traffic
Monica~Where at
Janet~ (4pm)The wreck was about 45 min s of wytheville but now we are in a snowstorm
Monica~ :(
Janet~ (8:30pm) Almost home...Sandstone was shut down and a mess. That 7 hr trip only took us 10.5 hrs
Needless to say, it was a LONG trip for this pregnant girl and Matthew has something against stopping to pee. Thankfully Kaiden finally said, "Dad you better find a peeing place because I gotta go bad!" lol
Hope that gave everyone a good laugh for the day! Love you all!

Mom~ I am pretty sure that I would never have done something like that unless Addy put me up to it. She was bold at a young age. lol Yes, I did call because it had happened for three days in a row. I can't remember who the weather man was, but I think he quit not long after all that. lol If you are going to describe the memories of power outages, it simply cannot be done without talking about the washtub, hours of monopoly, yahtzee and rummy, as well as HIKING up to feed the cows. Now those are memories!

Monica, You remind me of Grandma Treadway with your sense of humor. I am also, reminded of a time when my girls were still home and we had experienced a blizzard that year. Well, Shortly after that, we had another "threat" and so as we were watching the "weather man, aka meteorologist" he GUARANTEED that we were due, at least, 18 inches+, or some such number. Well, of course, people cleared the shelves at Walmart, bought up all the gas their last dime would afford, and PREPARED for yet another dump! When we all woke up the next morning and expected to "not be able to see out the window", all we saw was a skiff (that means light dusting) of snow. And that was all we got. I believe, and I know the girls will correct me if I'm wrong, it was JANET (only because Addy wasn't old or bold enough yet) who called the TV station and told them that she thought the weather man was "an idiot". She obviously wasn't the only one because that evening on the news, there was a picture of him with a target on his face. Seems he had received SEVERAL calls for that "GUARANTEE". Even I, couldn't believe a weather man would have that word in his vocabulary. Well that is my funny for the day. Girls, I'm sure I didn't get it all right, but I DO remember, that I couldn't BELIEVE Janet would do that!! Janet, do you remember his name? He was a regular back in the day. I DO have alot of fond memories of us all being snowed in...it involved board games and ALOT of home cooked food, playing in the snow and power outages. I don't remember the power outages being such a big deal then. WE melted snow on the cookstove to bathe and lit candles and such. Cooked on the cook stove... those were some good memories. So the next time you are stranded at home with no power, remember, it just might be a blessing in disguise!

So Mom, I believe you would be the cause of the snow that we are getting on this beautiful spring day!! Thanks for speaking too soon LOL :) There was a guy at work complaining this evening about the weather man getting our forecast completely wrong. A lady we were talking with spoke up and said, "That's just God showing you HE'S in control." That couldn't be more true. I watched the 5 o'clock news for a weather update and the satellite imaging they were showing for 6:30 this evening wasn't even showing snow around us, still looked as though everything was all rain!! Had I not just been outside to clean our Dish off and gotten smacked in my eye hole with a snowflake the size of my hand I might would've believed that :) Janet, I hope you all are making better progress now :) Love to all

Hey Everybody!
Sorry we didn't make it on Saturday. We missed seeing everybody. Paul's mom had dinner at the same time and my sister-in-law doesn't make it in very often. I heard there was some good food though!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Monica, I really enjoyed Mar's pictures on facebook! I showed Paul and I think he is ready for you guys to visit again!
Sunday morning Paul took me to MedExpress for a sinus infection and double ear infection. I guess I was overdue. It seems like I am always sick on every other holiday and I made it through Christmas this year just fine.
Since I am on spring break I have been spending some time on Pinterest trying to find recipes I want to make for the week. I have to say that I have found two that are definite keepers! Both recipes are really easy! The pictures are mouthwatering!
Scalloped Hasselback Potatoes-If you decide to make these just be careful when you cut the potatoes because if you go too low everything will run out.
Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken-Paul is such a picky eater and he LOVED this! I even prepared it ahead of time and kept it in the fridge until I needed to bake it. Didn't hurt!
Cindy, how are you feeling?
Trish, so glad to hear Jesse is doing better? How about Elmer? Also, Paul had mentioned there will probably several aide jobs open up since pre-k/headstart is mandatory now! That's a plus!
Ruth, I never remember the name of that symbol!
Love you all!
