Jacob looked mighty handsome in his dancing suit :) Adam and mom went up to see Trish and Danny today. She said they had a good trip and Danny was in good spirits. That is wonderful to hear :) Trish, I'm sorry it's resembling the north pole lol. Mom said the staff gave you an electric blanket. See if they have hot chocolate and marshmallows :P Today was so beautiful. We have two friends from church that just graduated from college and they had their graduation party on the river today. We went and Marleigh had a great time. They had rented a 3 story log home and there was also another one on the property. The yard was huge and went from the homes down to the river. Marleigh was running all over the place except for when she was dancing. They had a bluegrass band there and she was all up in the middle of that when they first got there :P Around 530 they announced that the party was turning into a wedding and they got married!!! It was so beautiful. I'll post some pics tomorrow after church. Love to all
Trish - I will be sure and go over every couple of days and do what I can to help with the house. If there is anything specific that you need done just blog me and let me know. Let Danny know that we love him and are praying for him and you also. Hope you have a good nights rest tonight. Love you guys!

Ok let's take a survey, who misses the orange and blue paint:) I never could have imagined this. I hope you took before and after pictures. This would work great in the country living magazine for their kitchen makeover projects. And Teresa, the doctors are keeping us here for about two weeks, think you can do something with my house? :)
We have Mommy's bed and daddy's chair in the living room and I wasn't so sure how much we would use them but from the way he looks and is moving they are a godsend! Just one of many. Tonight we are thanking him for a good nights sleep. I can't sleep cause my muscles are hurting so I went strolling around the unit and there is absolutely nothing happening. So I thought I would blog. I will tell you now, if you come to visit bring your winter parkas. He has the air so low I swear I saw snow flying.
Monica you are right about the kids. They enforce it too, which is good I guess. There are a lot of sick sick people here. People dont come here for your average bug! To send him a card or drop a note you can send snail mail or email. They print it out and bring it to him! Pretty neat. I will post the address after I look it up. Tell miss Marleigh she can come visit after we get home but in the mean time keep the videos and pictures coming. I show him the blog and facebook everyday.
Tanner has an athletic banquet and academic awards this week. I am trying to get someone to set it up with a web cam so we can be there and not really be there, keep your fingers crossed. Jacob has his first formal dance at school tonight so I told him Anita would stop and get him new dress clothes. He thought he would just wear good jeans and a button up flannel shirt! Of course everything happens when you get sick. You guys have a good night.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!! Danny, we're glad to hear that everything went so well. Try to get as much rest as you can :) Trish, what is Danny's address for the hospital so we can send a card? Mark looked on the website and they have two addresses listed depending on what part of the hospital you are in. I don't know what part yal are in so I didn't want to take a chance of sending it to the wrong one :P We are supposed to get off work early tonight and we were thinking about trying to come up tomorrow. They also have on their website that children 12 and under aren't allowed to visit unless under extenuating circumstances and then if permitted they have to have a health screening done. Marleigh isn't contagious but she is still on an antibiotic for her ear infections and croup so I guess that counts us out :( We plan on coming to visit with you when you get home if you guys are feeling up to it. Vonda, how are you and David doing? Teresa, love the kitchen/dining room!!! Janet, Marleigh gets her moves honest. Her mom and grandpa have been known to cut a rug in the past LOL!!!! Love to all :)
This is the final result of our kitchen and dining room project.
I really like the outcome and Steve is really enjoying cooking in my new kitchen. Hea/Hea

Good morning from UVA. We had a miserable night. Not so much pain but uncomfortable and hooked up to so many things it is hard for him to move. Physical therapy got him up and he walked the length of the hall and back than sat in the chair. He is back to bed and wore out. Our stay will probably be close to 10 days instead of the 4 or 5 they told us in the beginning. I slept in the room with him and will be able to stay in there every night.
Lonnie and Marcia came down and stayed yesterday until it was all over. Thanks for all the prayers. Our pastor and wife came down today as well as Chad Rodes, emma's dad. Will blog later when I know more!
Trisha and family, We continue to lift you up in love and prayer. May the Lord fill you with His peace now and in the weeks to come.
May recovery come to Danny quickly because the Lord is there to restore healing.
May the Lord renew Danny's strength in record time. May you continue to maintain courageous Faith in our God because He sees the ending from the beginning, therefore, we can Rest in Him who loves us dearly.
Also wanted to ask how you are doing Trisha? You come to my mind often.
I send love and prayers to you and yours as always, little sister of mine.
Julie

God still Answers Prayer

Thank you Jesus for that good news! We will take all you will shower our way! You know sometimes blessings come in the rain! Trish, we're praying for your peace of mind as well.
Last year at this time we were praying for Lonnie, and look at him now. Back to work as usual! And he has a good testimony of God's goodness to him! This spring we're praying for Danny and I expect a miracle in whatever form it comes. God is faithful to do what He says He will do! He didn't take those stripes for nothing!!! He was thinking of you Dan! Praise the Lord!
Micah 4:5 (NIV) says "All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever." And we know that that name is a strong tower! Nothing can breach it. Someone recently ask me if we relied too much on Momma praying for us. I think I told that person I didn't think so. Momma went through out her days and years a "walk'in in Jesus Name" and I think we all took notice. And just like a child will "pick up" ways from their parents, we have all learned to pray! We know it works and changes things! So tell Dan to get his testimony ready. I can't wait to hear it!

update on Danny

Danny is finished with surgery and everything went well.  They got all the cancer and took the collar bone but didn't have to take any ribs.  The doc also said that things looked good inside!  Thanks for all of the prayers but don't stop now.  Recovery will be long and hard!    His Dr. also said radiation would probably start in 2 weeks!  God is Good!!
This is Emily. First half of surgery is over. They had to take most of the clavicle and a lot of muscle but he got to keep all of his ribs. The surgeon said it looked good and he believes he got all the cancer. They are starting the reconstructive part now.
That is good news indeed!
Trish, that is great news, Praying all the rest goes good.
Danny is an hour into surgery and They called out and said all is good so far!

"Four Days Late" By Karen Peck & New River

Yep that's the song! It has been going through my mind but only the words I'm going on a journey with the lord right by my side. I guess that's all I needed to know for this journey! Thanks everyone for your prayers, we are getting easy to head to the hospital.

Treasures On The Other Side.

Trish...this is Timmy, (so you don't have to read to the bottom before you know who it is. :) I believe that line is in a verse to this song. I googled it and found this but I do not think it is the complete version as we sang with Mom, growing up. I will keep looking, but here is this much of it.

TREASURES ON THE OTHER SIDE
This is the first two lines we used to sing as I remember it, in parenthesis!
Who knows, that might be Mom's personal addition to the song. But then, my memory sure isn't what it used to be...Love you guys, Timmy

(I'm going on a journey with the lord right
by my side.
I know that he'll be with me, and it's there I will abide.)

This is the copywrited version that I found..

1. I am but a pilgrim stranger as I travel here below,
A citizen of Heaven, I am happy as I go;
The world may think me poor and pass me by with scornful pride,
But they don't know I've treasures on the other side.

Chorus:
On the other side, treasures there have I,
Treasures that this world and all it's wealth could never buy;
So, when I reach that city, and the gates swing open wide,
I'll find my treasures waiting on the other side.

2. Some may have their houses, some their land and gold,
But in the Bank of Heaven, I have wealth that can’t be told.
The moth and rust cannot decay and thieves can ne’er abide,
My treasures are all safe upon the other side.

3. You ask me why I’m happy of things of which I boast,
I’ve said goodbye to all the world and things that charm me most;
I’ve had a vision of my Lord, who for me bled and died,
He’s the greatest treasure on the other side!Top

Love and Prayers, Timmy, Cindy and Justin
Does anyone know the song mommy sang im going on a journey with the lord right
by my side i know that he'll be with me
What the heck????? Where did all our old messages come from or should I say where did they go.
Janet-I told your mom to go ahead and bring him and we would play. I'm sure he would have been fine, eventually.
Addie- I don't think I would still have a Lady Bird if she did that to my house. Pauls a good man.
Tarin - Girl you look great, so grown up, and how awesome to have your dance at a castle.

That is great news Trish. Danny we are continuing to pray for you and the doctors whom you go to see. Without God's hands directing them, they can only be so effective, but with him directing their actions, they are able to do so much more. Julie was fortunate in the fact that doctor who performed her surgery when she had cancer relied on God to help him and he told her that up front. He was such a great doctor, really cared for his patients.
Loved the video of Marleigh, she is so cute.
Tarin we loved your prom dress.
Nothing is impossible with our God! Momma says! Makes for good testimony doesn't it! Were praising the Lord with you. His wonders and mercies know no bounds!
As Mommy would say, "Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord!" And you know she is!
The following is from Rita (her computer will not let her post anything to the blog this morning):

As Mommy would say, Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
We expected a miracle and got it today. Danny had his PET scan which is supposed to show up any cancer to see if it had spread or if any lymph nodes were involved. It was completely normal! Even where he had the tumor didn't show up as being cancer, just post surgery changes! Praise the Lord! Don't quit praying we are going to UVA tomorrow and then on to Mayo. Will blog tomorrow after we see the oncologist and surgeon .
That is great news and we will continue praying for Danny and you(Trish) and all the other members of our family in need of prayer. I knew that we were going to see great results of our prayers. Rita get that hummingbird cake ready and I'll have the coffee. We are going to have some celebrating to do! Thank you for my card Rita. That was too cute.
Trish, that is WONDERFUL news! Our prayers are being answered! Tell Danny we love him and we will not stop praying!
We made it to UVA got our lab work and we are watching tv at the red roof inn. He has to be at the hospital in the morning at 10 and they said hopefully surgery would be around noon. Because od graduation here this weekend they aren't extending the hospital rebate. Right now it's about 80$ a night but starting Friday it is 249! So I will be staying in the room with danny hopefully starting tomorrow. Dannys sister is coming down here tomorrow and probably stay the night so she can have the room. Vonda did you ask the doctors about dialysis?
Addy I am loving those pictures. I have found Gracie in similar predicaments, looking very innocent. Danny enjoyed that picture AND the video of Marleigh. I dont think she could be a baptist, we have never had a choir practice like that!
I will post tomorrow when I know stuff. I think they will call out periodically.
By the way Janet, Greg cooked supper, I just invited them:).
Love to all
Trish and Danny
Hey, All Went to get David's results from his Dr. yesterday, and his blood work showed his kidney function is weak, so they want him to go in and have a tube put in his kidney to drain it , through his back, They were going to do it through his bladder , but the tubes were blocked , so they couldn't go that way , so this is the only way.To keep the poison out of the blood. So will let you all know when I know more, and thank you all for all the prayers. So we are just trusting the Lord, He has every thing under control.AMEN.Trish, we are still praying for you and Danny, Love you all.

Re:

The doctor said that UVA was right on, they would do the same thing. Danny had a fever and hives all the way home and felt pretty bad. It poured the rain on us all the way to wv. By the time we got home and was bombarded with the kids I didn't really think to blog or call. We are leaving around noon today and will find out time of surgery and I will post.
Thanks for all the prayers,
Love to all
Trish and Danny

Oh Ladybird!!!! So how long did it take her to clean up her mess :P

Hmmm...not sure why they didn't attach the first time!
I've enjoyed catching up on the blog this evening, and the scripture is good for my heart! Trish and Danny, Vonda and David, know that we are praying for your travels and test results and doctors appointments...Love you all!

Well, I've been trying to work outside with the dogs a little more with their training and they're doing exceptionally well. However, Ladybird doesn't understand sharing and taking turns. She did not like it when I took Bandit outside. She was trying to see out the window, and I'm surprised she didn't go through it! She only managed to rip one of the blinds off and tear the other one up, and turn the papason chair over! I guess that's what I get for having a small horse in the house.
Trish, I'm thinking Sherri Easter wrote that after she found out she had cancer.
Tarin looked beautiful for her prom! I love the red and black and the feathers! Going to a prom in a castle isn't something many people can say they have done, haha.

I loved the video of Marleigh! She is so funny and happy!

Thank you all for your prayers and for the scriptures you've put up here. I really miss Grandma and I would have always called her to pray with me in times like this. Zac was talking to me last night about how sometimes it's easier to have faith in someone else's faith than trust in our own. So now I'm strengthening and finding my own faith. It really helps to have you all to turn to though as well.

Thank you and I love you all. =)
God is so amazing! In prayer this morning, God gave me the following: Trust is the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own undersanding. Also, Many are the troubles of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19 This is a paraphrase and not a direct quote.) I do not check the blog over the weekend, but when I pulled it up this morning and read all the postings over the weekend, there was Rita's post: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. I believe God was confirming his word to me of this morning.

We all have to just stand on the word. It never fails. The Bible says that God watches over his word to perform it. We just have to believe it!

If nothing happens, we will probably go to Amy's this evening to see Trish and Dan. (Trish invited us to supper this evening.)

Austins Bridge-Hold On To Jesus

This has become one of DAnnys favorites.

"God Will Make A Way" By Janet Paschal (Music Video 1997)

This song has been running through my mind ever since surgery. Yesterday at church David Hutsenpiller sang it. God is amazing!
She wrote this song after she found out she had breast cancer.

Praise His Name !!! By Jeff And Sheri Easter - With on Screen Lyrics

Monica, I had forgotten about this song. I sing it at our church too.
Did she sing this song after she had breast cancer?
She was a little fireball and caught up in the spirit of "I Believe It All!" She wore herself out! She is precious! No trouble sleeping last night I"ll bet. Blessing to you all today!

Oh Monica!!!  That was sooo good of Marleigh and your Choir sounds GREAT!!!  The next time you practice, video the Choir and post us another song and don't forget the Praise and Worship team down front!!  That was the first thing I looked at when I got up this morning and it made my day.  Bobbie came to church Saturday night after visiting for the day with Trish and Danny AND I told everybody that she would be going home after church.  Well, At Sunday School, all kinds of people asked me if she made it home okay and did she run into much rain and on and on.  I told them that I didn't know because she doesn't call back when she gets home.  They looked at me as if to say, "I can't believe you could go on to sleep not knowing if she made it home!"  I told them that she calls her husband when she leaves and he knows what time to expect her.   I also told them that "I would worry about her if she didn't have so much faith."
I was thinking while watching the video that Marleigh was acting alittle like she was drunk in the Spirit and alittle like Grandma Vivian when she was so happy she didn't know whether to clap her hands, stomp her feet or jump up and down.
I have to agree with Monica, Tarin looks just like her Mother behind the mask.  Same Smile.  Can you imagine, years from now when she tells everybody...Oh, I went to the Prom at a Castle in Germany!  And these kids around here think it's a big deal to go to The Greenbrier.  LOL
Trish and Danny, Vonda and David...We are praying for you this week.  Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
And a personal favorite of mine..
Psalm 18:2
The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Ya'll have a Blessed Day now, ya here?
Rita

This was Marleigh tonight during choir practice :P People keep saying that our choir director is going to have some competition in a few years LOL!! Michelle, those are beautiful pictures of Tarin. She reminds me of her mother and grandmother :) Our Sunday School lesson was on Esther this morning as well, how neat. While we were discussing the search for the most beautiful women of the land and their beauty treatments that lasted a year I told the class I believe that was the first beauty pageant :) Vonda, David, Trish and Danny, these are wonderful scriptures that everyone has been posting. The Lord also says that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. I'm sure it is hard but don't give up, Praise His name. Mom sings a song called Praise His name (I believe) but I can't remember who it's by. Hey mom, who's it by? Maybe I can find it and post it. Love to all!!!

This morning, at church. we had a guest speaker and he spoke on Esther 4:14 and "for such a time as this".  Love you all and our prayers are with you.

Hello, Everyone! I hope this works, some of mine hadn't posted. I assumed it was a problem with German internet.

I have been praying for David and Danny. A friend of mine told me yesterday she felt led to tell me for 3 days now God has had it popping in her mind at all times of the day and night "God can heal anything" and "why do we wait until after the doctors do all they can?". God is our first resort, not our last, and HE can guide the doctors if HE chooses to use them. I am so glad our family has that wonderful heritage of faith in God. What an awesome thing to say our Grandparents passed on to us. So we are praying for a miracle, and claiming a speedy recovery if we don't get our first option :) That is amazing about Grandma, Rita.

It won't be long until Joe is home! Shortly before my dad's birthday. We are so excited and thankful God has kept him safe. I can't believe it has been almost a year.

Tarin went to prom in Amberg, in a castle. The theme was a Venetian Masquerade. Yep, I cried. Can't believe she is all grown up.

PS. I feel old, LOL

Love to all of you! Michelle and girls and soon----Joe!
