I am so glad to hear that grandma is doing better with the eating and is getting up and about. We will be in WV this Wednesday night through Friday on our way to the beach and want to stop up sometime during the day on Thursday if that is ok with you Rita???

We have been having a lot of fun here. We went to an indoor playground on Thursday and Clara played on the toddler playground. Today we went to a friend's 2nd birthday party. They have a real working Thomas the Train, a bounce house, bubbles, and a swingset. Clara had the best time!
Hello from KY, We will not be there for the Labor Day gathering at Steve's, but we'll be praying for those that do make it.
Love and Prayers
Blessed be the name of the Lord who is Faithful to hear when we pray. I am happy about your mom's progress which eases your workload.
I love you much and you are in our prayers often.

Thanks for your prayers for Matthew's sister.  Baby Allison arrived yesterday evening around 5pm healthy and happy, as is mommy:)  I finally got to hold her today and she is so precious!
Here is the shout out from VA. "Praise the Lord Everybody for the Good News!"
Thank the Lord for answered prayer, it is wonderful to hear that mom is able to help herself, I know that makes the job easier. Praise the Lord again

You got my Hallelujah, and AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Teresa is doing her laundry. She's come a long way, Baby! Mommy is playing cars with Kaiden and then she went from barely swallowing pureed food to feeding herself an egg salad sandwich and now, she is working on a Nutty Buddy Bar! Can I hear a Hallelujar out there somewhere???

Praise Report on Mommy

You wouldn't believe it unless you saw it first hand, but Teresa and I have! Mommy is a new person today. Yesterday she couldn't swallow good, or drink out of a straw much less, feed herself, but today she is doing all of the above. She has fed herself scrambled eggs, a slice of cheese, had yogurt, a banana, grapes and prunes. And a glass of sprite. She wanted to go out on the porch and sit so here we are. The kids are out front playing on the sidewalk. She does, however, have ants in her pants and wants to be on the move.

Mommy's Company

This is Mommy's friend, Marge Isaacs, from Rainelle. She's 80 and she came and looked Mommy up today and we had a nice visit. She use to go up and help Daddy peel apples and shell walnuts and stuff. I think Mommy recognized her but could not talk to her. She looked like she knew who she was and gave her a big hug. Mommy ate a good lunch. She had corn on the cob and new potatoes for lunch. She's eating a popsicle now.

Monica~When you put it that wat, I guess you are right!  LOL
Love those pictures - all of them- especially the one of Marleigh with Grandma:)
Bobbie~ Her first day is on the 30th.  She is so excited, but I am a little nervous.  Kaiden isn;t crazy about the idea of Livvy going to school one bit.

Mornin
To Update you all on Mommy, She has experienced some more changes since her episode. I, personally, believe she had a mini stroke. She is having even more difficulty swallowing now. She not only holds the food in her mouth, she will hold her mouth open and let it run back out, That is IF you can get it in. She has started holding her mouth shut tight so we can't even get it in. I almost didn't get her yogurt down her this morning. She isn't talking much at all and most of what she says, we can't understand. Her walking has gotten worse and it is really hard to walk her by yourself. Blain has to help me get her into bed at night. We have decided not to have anymore speech therapy b/c I didn't think it was doing any good. We are going to have PT for one more month. Not that it is doing any good, but Mommy really likes her Physical Therapist, Marty...and I think the feeling is mutual. Her urine was clear, but don't know the results of the culture yet. That's what they told us the last time and then told us she had a UTI. I'll call about the blood work this morning. Have the antibiotic but will not start it until we see if we need it.
I kept her up until 9 and she was still awake at 4 this morning. She still loves to watch TV, probably because she never got to. She got a card in the mail the other day and held it all day and looked at it. A card from you now and then, would give her something to look at.

Mommy had another episode this morning when I went to get her up. She may have had something through the night because I had to wake her up at 8:00 and she is normally awake by 6:30. Trish thinks it must have been another seizure. We checked her urine for another UTI and Trish got her an antibiotic which we will start her on tomorrow. She ate today though but slept most of it. She isn't laughing this evening like she usually does but I asked her if she wanted some coffee and she smiled and said NO. I was just testing her! She's okay and will probably be more herself tomorrow. Will let you know how she is tomorrow.
Monica , those are just adorable picture's of Marleigh, and those blue eye's are just beautiful.
Morning all,
You guys are just so talented with the pictures and what you can do with them! You can truly see you are another generation. Our family is so beautiful! Those great grandbabies are special! Love the feet pic and Emma's song. Janet, how does it feel with your first starting to school?
Momma, you look beautiful in your pictures and Marleigh looks like a handful! I love to kiss her little neck!
It looks like we will get some storms and rain all this week. We sure need it down this way! Love you and hope to see you all Labor Day! Someone tell me what we need to bring! What we have already and what we need!

Monica with that ponytail she could pass for Alfalfa from the Little Rascals! She has the biggest bluest eyes I have ever seen! The pictures of her and grandma are quite precious!

Marleigh's first pony tail :p

Saturday morning Steve took us up to see the Turbines. As you can tell the fog came in right behind us. We were able to see the first one but when we went down to the next one you couldn't even see the base of it. Hopefully next time we are in we can go back and get some better pics.

We had a wonderful weekend in WV. We spent the day Friday at Rita's and had pintos, cornbread, corn on the cob, crab dip and crackers for lunch. Grandma's PT Marty came around 1 o'clock and ended up having lunch with us (only because a couple ladies twisted his arm lol). He is a really nice fellow. Janet and the kids were there as well and we got to visit with them. On our way up Backus Mt. going to Rita's we had to stop in the road for a goat. Mark started backing up and we couldn't see it. I knew we hadn't hit it so I got out to find him. Thank goodness I left the door open on my side because as I started around the front of the truck here it came bleating at me. It was in a pretty good stride so I hopped back up in the truck and told Mark to go, go, go. I looked out my window and the goat was running along side the truck. So Janet, yes there are rednecks in Meadow Bridge if a goat chases your truck instead of a dog!! LOL :p

MOM! He's touching me!

at the cross

We visited with Homer and Vena this evening, sang some hymns for them. David, Susan, Sybil and the kids, Ray and Loretta and I had blizzards thanks to Susan. Emma loves this song At the Cross, I managed to catch a little of it.
Homer isn't doing well at all. His cancer is much worse and say he could go anytime depending where the cancer hits next. Please keep them in your prayers. Vena has alzheimers and won't be able to stay by herself.
Who thinks Meadow Bridge is redneck???  Just because the refs had to stop the game to get the goats off the field is no reason to call us rednecks!
(Mark and Rita, I proofread this one.  Happy now?)
