Lorie will have to tell whose dogs they are. She sent me the picture on her phone and I couldn't see it so I sent it to the blog. Emily and Zac have said they wanted a great dane! the pups actually look a lot like rats! But very pretty!
Wow! That really made a difference, looks a lot better, now just trim the pine tree in front of the house, and then we can really see the house lol.Good job.

Steve has cut some of the trees from in front of the house and opened it up so that he can see out to the bottom. It also now lets folks see the house from the bottom or from the road. Andy, Devin and David helped him remove some more trees and bushes today. Here are a couple pictures to show how it now looks.
Who's dogs?

Dead Robert C. Byrd Drive! Jacob, what wit! You are toooo funny!
We did have a good date. But so much for sitting by ourselves! Tanner and Jacob both sat with us! And we didn't get to see Karate Kid, but Toy Story 3! It was really good. Since we grew up with 1 and 2! And of course it was sad at the end! We ate at Applebees afterwards!
I was catching bits and pieces of Senator Byrds viewing today on the Today show. They say he is supposed to be in Charleston this evening. Jacob said he guessed Robert C Byrd drive would be called "Dead Robert C Byrd" drive now.
Wow , I sure am glad you guys have gotten the b/p down pat, sounds like mommy is doing a lot better and I am sure she feels a lot better, and we will pray for continued improvement.
Hope everyone has a Blessed 4th. of July, and remember our troops and the freedom they fought for.
Janet, Amy's due date is July 25. They are coming in for the Cadle reunion. They are leaving tomorrow and Colin, Juanita and I are coming with them. I am so glad to see that Mommy's blood pressure is better and that she is more like her old self.
Mornin' Ya'll.
Mommy had a good night and is so much more like her old self. Trish, I think gettin' rid of the patch has done the trick. Her BP is staying down too. PTL
Congrats Emily on the job. Love to eat at Bob's. Addy can give you some pointers since she was a server there. What do you do there?
I canned 38 pints of peas. Couldn't have done it without Teresa and Janet. Mommy's nurse and PT are due in here today. Teresa is getting the day out today. She definitely needs a break! Blain is putting up the last of our hay this evening. Thank the Lord for the pretty weather. I looked at the 7 day forcast and not a drop of rain in sight.
Hello from Virginia,
Trish and Danny-Did you have a nice anniversary day? That was cute, Jacob will let you sit by yourself at the movies! I want to see that movie too. I like the background. I love the pictures of the "girls telling secrets in the field of daisies." While I was trying to catch up on here I had the thought "Boy, our family is busy living! And it's good livin' too!" We are so blessed! Thanking God for all of you! I just love everyone chiming in to tell about your families! I do try to check in everyday, just don't have time to write always. And yes Rita, I will do better!

The very first picture of "Mom and the flask"you posted! I laughed and thought "She's so malleable, she'll do anything they put her up too!" But the look on Steve's face looking at her, in that same picture is priceless! Her "decline" in unbelievable! I love our sence of humor! Sounds like we get that from our Mother! She looks like she is "in her element" shuckin' peas! Teresa-sounds like you guys are a hoot up on the mountain! I'm so glad it's not all work for you! Ha!

Julie, you did good. How long is Joe's tour in Afganistan?
We are getting a little break from the heat here and it feels so good this morning. I have two that are potty training and we are staying around the house. Anyone have any advice on that? It is a little different when they are not your own. Adam called last night and said they had dinner out on a cruise ship and it was soo nice. He's tasting a little sea food I think. He's traveling home on Sunday.
Tell Mom I will see her on Sunday for a visit, probably around 2:00. Miss Marleigh is coming to see her as well! Love you guys!
David~ bring on the peaches!

Emily~ Congrats on the job! Snatch some of that potato soup for the next get together!

Teresa~ Enjoyed the many laughs today! Love your pea shuckin' buddy!

Ruth~ Thanks, I will! How's Amy? Her due date is quickly approaching, yes?

26 years ago me and Danny said "I do" and praise god for me he still does or I couldn't make it through the day. Lorie and I took the kids to visit mommy yesterday. Not sure if she knew who everyone was but she sure was smiling. Our visit was cut short by the finger fiasco. The doctor numbed him from the elbow down and tanner said took a pair of needle nosed pliers and pulled it out. He told him he was one lucky fellow because it didn't hit any bones. He is pretty sore but he will live! Alice I had to have my gallbladder out 3 weeks after tanner was born. And believe me you are much better off without it than with. Then when tanner was 8 he became deathly I'll and yellow ! Turned out he had to have his gallbladder out too. The only thing is, after you eat make sure you are close to a bathroom. Lorie left this morning and has already made it home.
Thanks for the anniversary wishes. I am hoping Danny will take me to see the new karate kid movie. Jacob said of he could go with us he would let us sit by ourselves. Lol. I told him after 26 years that was okay he could sit with us.
Rita tell mommy if she shucks it she has to eat it. As I recall she loves peas!

This is Mommy and her Physical Therapist, Marty. He's the one who was quoting scripture back to Mommy. He's a christian and he is very good with her. Then, there's the one of Mommy and Teresa shuckin' peas. Hey, that's what Teresa said she was doin' and who am I to argue with a workin' woman. It works for me! They are earnin' their keep, the only problem I have is that I'm probably gonna owe Teresa!! That girl is a worker. My kitchen has never BEEN so clean. You don't need a dishwasher with HER around. Janet and Teresa shelled about a bushel of peas for me today while Olivia and I had a date in Beckley. Kaiden had to stay with them and I think he was a little mad. He's gonna have a date with Papaw next week, just the two of them. Mommy ate good today, took her meds good, and has been more verbal. Might be bc we have taken off the patch which has allowed her BP to come up and put her back on Atenolol which controls her pulse. Trish said that would put her back on the same meds that she was on before Daddy got sick. She is, however, still on Vasotec and I'm not sure if that one is newly added or not. Maybe that one can go soon too. She has been more herself today.

Hey Everybody,

I just wanted to say thanks for all the birthday wishes! While I'm sure it wasn't the worst birthday, it definitely wasn't the best. I spent the majority of the day in the lab, not getting anything accomplished. It's just reminding me why I didn't become a research scientist...I like for things to work when I've spent so much time on them!
Alice, we're praying for your gall stones and David, for a safe trip. You too, Steve.
Talk to yall later!

Love,
Addy and Paul
Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

I don't know if Mommy told you all, but I got a job a few weeks ago working at the portrait studio at Wal Mart. Well, that didn't work out (I'm a photographer, not a salesperson!) so I left there this past weekend. Bob Evans called me on Sunday and I'll be starting there this weekend! So if you ever happen to be in Princeton after 3 or 4, you'll know where to find me. =)

Oh, and the guy who interviewed me asked if I ever ate there and I said yes. He was surprised and said that most of the people they interview have never eaten there. He asked where I was from and I said Greenbrier County and he said "Ohhhhh, you're country! I understand now!" Lol!
"
Hi David and Julie Thanks for asking about me. I am feeling great and following the diet that the Doctor gave me. My appointment with the surgeon is next Wednesday at 9:30, so maybe I will know more after that. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers - please don't stop.
The peaches sure do sound good, but I guess we will have to wait-hopefully they will be ripe here before very long.
Take care and be careful on your trip.

David~Blain said how about Tomatoes? Happy Birthday to Addy and Happy Anniverary to Trish and Danny. I haven't had time to blog today. I've been busier than a one arm paper hanger. I washed clothes on my new wringer washer that I got at the yard sale for $65 and that thing hums like a top! We priced a new one not too long ago and it was close to $1000. This one is like new. Then I picked close to a bushel of peas out of my garden. Got to can those tomorrow. We gave Mommy 2 showers today, long story...and cooked a big supper. Pinto beans, cabbage out of the garden, fried potatoes and cornbread. Mommy liked the cabbage and beans!!!!! She had a good day and laughed all evening. We went for a walk to the driveway and sat on the porch and watched Blain and our neighbor cut hay. Gonna turn in, I'm pooped!
We will be careful driving north. Alice how are you feeling? I pray you will be able to make it without incident while you are waiting for your appointment. We will keep you in our prayers.
I am bringing Rita some Georgia peaches. Does anyone else want to put in an order for oranges or grapefruit or pecans?
See you guys this weekend.
David
I am sure they will have fireworks Saturday night about dark at the Cadle farm. They may even have them on Friday night. You can call Donna Witt and find out.
Anybody doing fireworks this weekend anywhere? I know they do at the Cadle Farm. Anyone know when?
Happy Birthday Addy! Hope your evening is...uneventful. Happy Anniversary Trish and Danny.
Hope Tyler is feeling better!
David, looking forward to seeing you.
Tanner and Tyler , veras grandson, were working on a shed for our pastor when Tyler had a little mishap with the nailgun!

Love and Prayers

Hello to all

Hello to all from the hot state of Florida. Michelle's husband Joe left for Afganistan yesterday. The girls, Tarin, Toria and Aleya are very sad today as well as - Michelle of course. It's hard for us because they are in a different country and would be difficult to get to them if they needed us. So, goes the life of our military families. I ask you to keep them in your prayers and I thank you.
Happy Anniversary Trish and I believe the blog said Addy's B-day. If so, Happy B-day Addy!
David and Michael are looking forward to coming on Friday. Give Vivian a hug for me. Now let us see if I can actually get this thing posted correctly.
Love you all,
Julie
Happy Birthday Addy, and Happy Anniversary Danny and Trish, Wishing you all mannnny mannny more.

No Monica, no oil near us (just west of Gainesville is where we put the boat in the Gulf). It may eventually foul all of the Gulf and Florida's coast but hasn't reached here yet. Beaches in the far western panhandle have been closed already. This picture shows how it looks here where Devin is trying to haul in a speckled trout. Michael's boat is a 24-footer with a 250 horse power motor. We went out Saturday and caught a few trout, sharks, and saltwater catfish.

Michael and I plan to come home this weekend so Steve we will plan to come take a look at what you have cleared. Maybe help you if you need it.

Momma we love and miss you and hope you are feeling better today.

See you all Friday evening, Lord willing.

Steve , you will have to take pictures and post them ,so we can see what work you have done and what it looks like.

Coming your way

We are headed out in the morning to get the girls from Trishs. We would like to see Grandma while we are there but will prob. need some assistance getting up to Ritas place. Please pray that we are safe on the road in our travel
Thanks for all the Birthday wishes. I got to have a nice breakfast that Blain helped cook. Lol. I also got to spend part of it with Teresa and Mom. That WAS the best part. You guys will have to come up this weekend and check out the new view. We have been clearing some trees out front. Later, TMFI64.

Monica~ We'll never tell! LOL

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No I didn't know that about mommy's grandpa Dillon,Must have been a family secret, lol
So, where did the flask come from and what's in it? :p
Well, since it is Steves birthday, he should be the one with the flask! Right?
You all know that Mommy's Grandpa Dillon was a Moonshiner, Right? She said he used to take her with him and she would drink "the Mash"! That's what it is called before it makes the SHINE. I guess, Old habits are hard to break!
Yesterday evening, Mommy had an "episode". When I gave her meds to her, she acted like she did the morning I took her to the hospital. She couldn"t swallow her pills. Her BP was elevated but I had gotten her to swallow her BP meds, so we laid her down and in 30 min., it was way down. She rolled over and went to sleep and didn't wake up until 6:00, which is her usual time to rise! It may have been because she was worn out. She hadn't slept worth a hoot the last 2 nights and not much during the day. She woke up seeming more like her self, laughing when she passed gas, LOL, and telling me she wanted to get up. She even said she liked my necklace and asked me if I slept in it! She ate a banana and drank water before her meds. She is laying on the couch sawing some "redwood" trees, I think. I told her, 42 years ago today, she had a baby. She smiled and I asked her if she remembered it, and she said No. I said, that's probably not a bad thing.
Gonna go fix a Sunday Morning breakfast. You know the kind, Sausage, biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes, fried apples, eggs. Check In Later. Happy Birthday Steve.
Mom~ What happened to the caption we agreed on for those pictures???? I can come up Tuesday or Wednesday to relieve you or Teresa. As long as someone is there to do the cath. Addy is coming Monday right?
