The Pastor and his wife stopped by this evening and visited with grandma & grandpa. We introduced them to the grands and the greats as Amy called us. I think grandpa ate good this evening. I saw Marcia feeding him. Grandma ate some fried chicken that she said tasted good. She had a smile when the visitors came. She looked a little sad later in the evening when we were all visiting with grandpa. She may have just been tired. She told me that she learned a long time ago to trust in the Lord and everything happens for a purpose. She also said that she is just going to keep on trusting him.
Love to all!
TMFI64, Emily said that you guys had a good visit and I think she may have even picked up a few cooking tips:) If the army needs oats, they can call you, right?
Just saying hello. TMFI64

Testing..
That was me ~Rita~ that just posted but steve is signed in to my computer, I guess, and I don't know if I can get him OUT!!!
First of all ADDY...You shouldn't repeat things the Dr....Nurse...Transporter/Cleaning Lady tells you when you are stoned. That's what you told me!
I went up this morning and Steve, Emily and I got Daddy up to the commode by the bed, changed his clothes and cleaned him up. He didn't want anything except water. His pastor, Butch LeGrande, will probably drop by for a visit this weekend. I told him that even if Daddy isn't talking, Mommy could use the visit.
Mommy was sitting on the couch this morning looking like she was about to cry. I sat down with her and put my arms around her and she started crying. She is worried that Daddy isn't eating anything. I told her that he wasn't hungry but he was drinking water. I said, "Mommy, it won't be long til Daddy goes on to Heaven. You just tell him that we'll be along." She cried some and then asked could she go see him. I told her she could go in there and crawl up in bed with him and she did.
I also talked to Kathy Brunty, from their church, and I told her to tell anybody who wanted to visit, to come right on. I told her that we usually have a house full anyway and it won't bother Daddy and might be a real comfort to Mommy. So ya'll show them the Treadway Hospitality and make them feel right at home.
Talk to ya'll later.

Monica don't count everyone else out yet! Just because the drs say the tenth little miss marleigh may have a different plan. Either way it's safe to say there will be another little leaf on the family tree. Sorry addy I guess rocky will just have to go down by the trunk of the tree where the other dirt n rocks go. Mommy talked a lot about marleigh today. Asked me if u had already had ur shower. She has a little something for you. Daddy was quite puny today. Ate very little but is drinking water and milk. Mommy is realizing there is something really wrong now. She hasn't strayed far from his side all day. If he needed fed she did it. And that is good for her. His calcium level is elevated at 10.8. The doctor called me and said that when it reaches levels between 11 and 13 it is dangerously high. He will experience lethargy depression dehydration extreme thirst and eventually coma. Apparently hypercalcemia is one of the symptoms caused by the tumor. Right now though the rest of his lab work is excellent. Blood count a liitle low but better than it was 2weeks ago. She also said he isn't dehydrated at all. He asked for a pain pill today and it is seeming to help. Also the absorbine junior rub seems to make him feel lots better. So if u r staying with him....offer to rub it on. Sometimes it's the little things that really seem to help.
Daniel and Alice are coming in the first of the week to stay. Amy is coming this weekend to stay along with Lonnie and marsha. Me and Rita will stay next week as well. Things are going much better with two people these days. Mommy is really fretting herself silly. She said daddy just told her last week about this. She asked me if all the kids knew and I assured her that everyone knew and that daddy told me he was ready to go to heaven when Jesus wad ready for him. And the only thing for us to do is help make what time he has left happy and pain free. She is awfully worried about him not eating and being hungry but the doctor told me that with certain tumors they produce a substance that makes you not hungry. So even if he doesn't eat he isn't having hunger pains. After all that explaining she seemed at ease. She told steve this morning she had a nervous feeling every morning like a need to pray for someone but she didn't know who it was nut after she prayed that feeling went away. I think she now feels that prayer is for daddy.
Hope you all have a great weekend. Love to all
trish
LOL- No matter how many times I watch that...I always think of you Addy! Monica and Addy, we will all be anticipating the call to let us know that you have delivered:)

This is ALMOST how it went down...only not as funny.
Mark, I'm pretty sure Marleigh will have all the glory on Wednesday! I didn't get a lot of attention after having "twins" last time. And if kidney stones and labor are so much alike, why the heck didn't I get the option of a C-section?

P.S. I guess when Papa guessed my waistline, it wasn't just fat! haha
Addy, can Rocky play "dueling banjos"? My c-section is scheduled for Wednesday as well lol! Overachiever!!! LOL They are supposed to call me Tuesday with the time. They did another ultrasound today and she is approx 9 lbs 11 oz, that's what her father weighed :( I'm still 1-2 cent dilated and she is still high up there. He said he didn't want me to try to deliver a 10 lb baby vaginally because I was 60-70-% going to have to have the c-section anyway so he would rather have it scheduled that me labor for 8 hours than have surgery. Here are those who wrote down I was going to have Marleigh on the 10th: Greg @ 623 am 8 lbs 6 oz, Colin @ 1000 am 8 lbs 3 oz and Emily @ 1109 pm 8 lbs 4oz. Maybe Marleigh won't be as big as what the dr is thinking, that would be awesome!! I'll let you all know the time whenever I find out, talk to you later.
Hey Everybody,
I can see I've missed quite a bit in the past few days. So I'll start clearing things up...Mom, the stone is 5 mm, not centimeters! I think Dr. Moshi would have ran out the door if it was 5 cm! This also makes the 5th stone. Last time I was in the hospital I had twins! One on each side. They have scheduled me for surgery on Wednesday, not sure what time yet.
Monica... Rocky, my kidney stone, has challenged Marleigh to a race to the outside. READY, SET, GO!
Last night was pretty rough. I've been sick the the pain medicine before but not like this. They gave me morphine at BAR-H, and continued giving me that until I had surgery. I threw up quite violently but this time, Ruth, there was nothing to come out! I hadn't much the day before either. That really saved on the paint job!
I hve no idea what they gave me for anesthesia, but ME LIKEY! ... until I woke up. Between the morphine, anesthesia, dilaudid, and no food, I was extremely sick last night. I did not sleep a wink! I just had to watch the clock.
I was incoherent, light-headed/dizzy, seeing double, you name it. Paul said it was like every other night when I wake up unexpectedly. The good news is that my roommate, while very talkative, was also very sweet. Her name was Mae, she was 72 years old from Hinton. Keep her in your prayers also.
I know somebody MUST have been praying for me yesterday because God gave Paul the strength to watch me puke my guts up! He has a weak stomach. Fozzie pooped in the house one time and Paul ran the other way gagging! But he really was wonderful through the whole thing!
Mom walked in the hospital room yesterday and said (laughing) "you look rough!" Dad just laughed at me. It's so comforting to have an honest family to kick you when you're down!
Will keep you all updated! Thanks for all the prayers and texts!
Love you All!

Congratulations Amy, Greg and Clara? So when are you due? Addy, I hope they get the stone out soon and you get to feeling better very quickly :) Steve, that green straw looking stuff did look familiar lol. I noticed yesterday that since the snow has melted from my flower garden, the lavender that's been under there all this time is still green!! I couldn't believe it. We have our appointment this morning at 9 am to hopefully find out when Marleigh's going to be here. One of us will keep you posted. Love to all!!

Rita just called and said they got within an inch of the stone and couldn't get it so they had to quit. He put a stent in and she will stay overnight and then go back on wednesday for him to remove it.
They took Addy to surgery around 6:30. Dr. Moshi is doing it. It is stuck in the middle of the ureter. He is going to try to get ahold of it and pull it out. Ouch! If this is successful, she will be coming home tonight. If he has to cut, then she won't. She had a migraine before going into surgery, so they gave her more morphine. All she was upset about, was that she hadn't eaten since last night. Paul, Blain, and I are in the waiting room and they have COMPUTERS set up for patients families. How cool is that? I mean, if ya gotta pass the time. Oh...I forgot, Addy will read this later...OOPS.

Grass!

Anybody remember this stuff! Its been a while. LOL. TMFI64
Rita said the stone is 5cm big. That is like 2 inches!! Thats a pretty big stone!
Just to let you know, this is Trish, but I am on Ritas computer at Mommys. They have scheduled Addy for surgery at 6p so Rita and Blain went on over earlier. I haven't heard from her since she left so....She is supposed to let me know whenever they find anything out. Daddy and Mommy are watching the local news, the sun is shiny and I am fixing mac-n-cheese. The world is a good place right now!
Trish
Hey All
Mommy and Daddy are in the LR with TT, Olivia and Kaiden watching a movie. Daddy had to have a pain pill about 1:30, he said his back was hurting a good bit. I rubbed it good with lotion and then gave him a Lortab. He hasn't eaten much but the Dr. said as long as he drinks. He has no trouble drinking water and milk. He did eat some coconut pudding when he got up from his nap.
Addy is in GVMC with a Kidney Stone, Yeah, another one. She called me on her way to work this morning and said it was hurting bad. She went to BAR H and they transferred her to GVMC b/c that's where her Urologist is. I don't know if this is 3 or 4....Anyway, she has her cell phone if you want to text her. Check in later
Congratulations Amy, Greg And Clara,A boy that is wonderful, Now get Ready for the sibling rivalry, oh what fun.
Oh! That's wonderful! Congratulations Amy and Greg! Clara's getting a brother!

Evening Y'all! Everybody else is in bed, have been for a while. I just finished a paper so I figured I'd give you an update from this evening. I got here around 5 and Grandma and Grandpa were sleeping so I went and woke them up. I told them it was either let me help them or the two bossy ones would come get them up! They thought that was pretty funny. Grandma seemed pleased to see me, but she was ecstatic after I told her I brought popcorn. She was practically running to the kitchen telling Grandpa to "Get up honey, it's time for dinner!" Grandma ate really good: sweet potatoes, peas, bread and applebutter, and turnips or parsnips, I'm not sure which. Grandpa picked at his and then had some coconut pudding. After dinner they migrated to the couch and I took them some water and a bowl of popcorn. It was mainly for Grandma (Grandpa doesn't like the hulls), but he had several handfulls! Grandpa read the paper and Grandma waited as long as she could before she asked/told him it was time for bed a little after 7:00, and I haven't heard a peep out of them since!
Danny took the curtain that was going into their bedroom and put it in the doorway going from the living room so they could have a little more privacy and a little more room. There is no door on the old bathroom. Trish and Mom assured Grandpa that this would make it easier for him to maneuver his walker, but he didn't seem too impressed. I think he will get used to it! Danny also rigged the oxygen tube to where it is out of the way and doesn't have to be moved. It's right beside the bed where Grandpa needs it. All in all, it was a pretty eventful evening around here.
Greenbrier County is under a winter weather advisory until 6:00 am tomorrow morning. They said to expect 5-6 inches in the mountains, at this point I wouldn't know what else to expect!
Congratulations Amy and Greg and Clara on your baby BOY!
And is Marleigh here yet?
Love the picture of Mom and Dad sitting in the chair together. Trish, can you put it in a pretty frame like the others you done? So glad Dad had a good day. Keep eating Daddy! Mom keep that smile in your heart!
Yes, Dad sure does look handsome with that smile on his face , and So does Mom look really pretty the way she was dressed to go to the dr.
Now thats the way we want to see them all the time, so tell them ok,
It looks like Lonnie was flunking on his report card.LOL, I hope you don't find to much to blackmail with, Trish you and Rita could have a field Day.

The Over Achiever

Since Lonnie doesn't read the blog, we'll start with him. Anybody care to give us some hush money? We have a whole file cabinet at our disposal.

Ruth the pictures of Mom and the kids were taken Monday before her doctors appt. Wasn't she pretty?

I hooked the printer/scanner to the computer in the living room just in case Mom and Dad want to print out some pictures that they get or emails. I was checking out the scanner to see how it worked. As you can tell from Amy and Gregs Christmas card of Clara, it worked really well. You wouldn't believe some of the stuff around here I have found to scan,,,,,,,old report cards, old pictures, good blackmail material! LOL

That's a good picture of Mommy and Daddy and it sure is good to see a smile on his face. Of course, Mommy seems to smile ALL the time. When were the pictures of Mommy and Kaiden and Olivia taken. They are certainly good. Trish, I guess you and Mommy will do "Dueling Banjos" on the laptops, huh?

Mommy and Daddy after breakfast this morning.

I never thought I would see grandma with a laptop, especially one that is as big as her lol!! Looks like she's enjoying it and wide awake at that time in the morning.
Trish said that there's a pretty good steam coming from her Shark Steam Mop so she is going to have to quit that too. She said she had better err on the side of caution and not risk using the broom or sweeper either. Daddy is feeling pretty good today, however, he did ask for a pain pill this morning when he got up, so Trish gave him a Lortab.
Mommy and Daddy are having a good day. This morning he got up and hasn't went back to sleep yet. Daddy is in a good spirits and he has eaten some, drank a half of ensure and he is watching "The Price Is Right". It's been a pretty good day and it is so much easier when there is two of us. I told Trish that she could do the nursing and I would do the cleaning. We thought that was a good fit.
Trish and I are starting a "Change of Shift Report" book that, if you stay, you will need to look at and document in. It is where the Presto Machine was.
Trish said that's why she has avoided those two chores all these years, she just didn't want to risk it.=)
I took medicine (tetracycline, the best I remember but it was a long time ago - in my thirties). He also told me not to iron or cook over a hot stove. I guess the heat exacerbated it. Mine was so bad that it hurt and broke open and bled. Eventually, it went away. The doctor told me that it was not uncommon to get acne at that age.

Thank you for using Picture and Video Messaging by U.S. Cellular. See www.uscellular.com for info.
Mornin' Folks~ Trish and I both stayed last night. Home Health came, after they had gone to bed, and brought a Wheelchair, Walker and Oxygen. Daddy's O2 Sat was 86% and so his Dr. ordered it. Mommy just came to the big Room to join Trish and I on our computers and watch the news. Trish made her breakfast, Tea and Fruit uh....I guess that's what we could call it. A raisin cake and 1/2 a banana. Daddy is sleeping in. More later.

Ruth, did you outgrow that or did the doctor give you something for it?
Monica, they may hinder my work but they are good for the soul! It is flurries here as well. Daddy is asleep on the couch. I was running the dishwasher and no sooner sat down in the new part to blog than I heard dishes banging around in the kitchen. I went to see and Mommy was UNLOADING the dishwasher. Just when I think she is taking a nap, she jumps up and runs around to find something to do.
We fried green tomatoes and stewed some onions for lunch. Brown beans and left over cornbread. Daddy ate the tomatoes and onions pretty good then he ate a pudding- one that was in the fridge- and ate a little Debbie cake. Had some popcorn while we watched the price is right. Mommy ate left over long John silvers, broccoli and cheese and turnips. plus whatever daddy didn't eat. she didn't lose weight this week but she didn't gain any either.
Trish, I had acne rosacea in my thirties.
I believe the boys are getting excited. They've been awfully interested in how my appointments have gone for the last month and a half or so. Kinda shocked me lol. Dad said they are more excited than I know :) We all might as well expect snow for atleast 2 or so more weeks thanks to that darn groundhog! It's flurrying here, has been since morning but nothing is sticking to the roads just the grass. I wish I had laundry helpers like that Trish, however, it looks like Gracie is hindering you more than she is helping :P
I love the remodeling you've done to the Blog, Trish. I would also like to have a pic of the pocket watch. Is that possible? Bet I'm not the only one. Did you show it to Mommy and Daddy? I went out today to run errands and I picked up a few things we will need to care for Daddy. Rubber (Nitrile, I'm allergic to latex) Gloves, Adult wipes, groceries (7.5 doz. eggs). It's amazing how many eggs we use. We're getting more snow. Imagine that. Trish has her sleep study tonight, so I will be going to relieve her. I'll try to keep you posted.
Won't be long until Granny Bobbie and Gramps Elliott will be posting pics of Marleigh. I bet there are 2 proud uncles too.
Afternoon all,
Mom and I both went to the doctor yesterday to get the growth from under the left eye removed. Funny thing< I have one under my eye also and he said it was the same as mommys only smaller. He froze them and said it would fall off. Easy as that. Mommy has really dry scaly skin on her forehead and I asked him about that. He said it is Rosacea and to use a face cream on lotion on it. Well when it was my turn to sit on the table, of course he already told me the thing under the eye was the same. I asked him about my cheeks how they are always so red. He said I also had Rosacea! He also said it was hereditary!!

The nurse was here this morning. Daddy has lost another 5 pounds. He is down to 140 pounds. He hasn't had a pain pill since friday and says he isn't hurting. The narcotics have finally moved out of his system and he is back to normal. Still takes someone to walk with him to make sure he doesn't fall. I got a Bedside commode yesterday and we moved the bookshelves out of their bedroom. It worked wonderful last night. He got up one time and was able to manage by himself with a little help from Mommy. We moved the bedside table that goes with their furniture up beside his bed. It made it much nicer as far as moving around. I called the Dr. to get a wheelchair and a walker with wheels. If you are here by yourself and he gets in the floor, the w/c will come in mighty handy!

It is pouring the snow here today...again. I am getting ready to fry some green tomatoes so will blog later.
Everyone stay warm!

Mom and Dad

My laundry "helpers"

Love the pictures , you guys put on the blogBobbie are you all getting anxious for the little one to arrive?, I am.
Love the photos! Especially the pocket watch! How did Mom's visit to the Dr. go? Is Dad having a better day today? It is spitting snow here this morning.

He said nah, just annoyed at one doctor LOL. Trish if you would send Mark the link to the blog so he can join and answer his own questions :) It looks like Backus Mtn has turned into Alaska but I'm glad the road is open so you can get out even if it takes you most of the day to do so. I think Blain was having fun with the snow blower, I'm waiting to see Rita use it :p
Are you gettin' excited Mark????
Good Morning All
Monica just called and it looks like we may get our first grandbaby on March 8th after all(instead of March 14th DRATS!) She doesn't seem to be progressing on her journey out so they may have to help her. Not to worry, they do this everyday! She will know more on Friday. We down here are getting anxious to meet her!
We had a good visit with Mom and Dad over the weekend. I'm glad Ruth and Vonda decided to stay put because it was the worst weather I have traveled in for a while. When we topped Sandstone Mt. it was like a different world! A Blizzard!
I must give credit where it is due! I like following Teresa's visit. All the washcloths, soups and spices are even organized! Oh! and the snacks are in a beautiful basket! I do not seem to have that talent! But we are going to have to watch her when she is around Dad, he said she was trying to trip him! The nerve of her! :)
Rita, I took up the rugs in his bathroom because they kept turning up under the legs of the walker. That is such a small space for him and his walker but I might should have left it outside the door. All day on Sat. he stayed bent over from his chair trying to pick up the rocks out of the floor. I told him when you cleaned this week YOU WOULD SWEEP THEM UP! I know don't thank me! Mom and I didn't know what else to tell him!
He didn't sleep any all day long and he was up 6-7 times that night. He sat down on the floor beside his bed and it was kinda hard to get him up one time. Another time he was coming down the hall by the freezers looking for the bathroom. Elliott had a time trying to convince him that the door outside was not the bathroom door.
Sunday morning he was a different person. He was quieted down and wanted to sleep all day. He understood and talked sense, but he was so tired from all that walking at night and no sleep. Mom said she kept telling him he needed to go to sleep and stop talking so she could get some sleep!
Rita, what a wonderful idea to move the bird houses! Mom loves to watch the birds the birds. The red birds in the trees are so easy to see with the white snowy bottom behind them.
