Mommy just went for a cxr. Waiting on a ct scan before we know anything. She seems her normal self though. The doc said with strokes anytime you have one there is a possibility for a seizure disorder to follow.

Happy Weekend to everyone!! Mom and Dad had a cookout this evening for the kids she keeps and their parents. We had a really good time. The kids played on the swing set and in the pool. The adults played cornhole, it is that time once again. It was still somewhat humid and hot today but the clouds started rolling in covering the sun and we had a small breeze so this evening was actually really nice. Marleigh debuted her bikini also lol :P I love it!! I wish everyone safe traveling this weekend in all you do. I believe it is raining here now. We need it. Smooches, MP3 :)

Here is Marleigh's first evening of laughter.  She has laughed before but usually just once and that's it.  She was filling her oats Tuesday at moms :)

Well Bobbie and I cooked a birthday lunch for the old man of 56 years old. He and tanner are working at the end of ritas road in meadow bridge so I told them to come up. Mommy ate good and has had speech and physical therapy both and still doesn't want to take a nap! I found mommys bible at my house and it was one Lonnie had given her for mothers day in 1980. So mommy gave it to Lonnie for his birthday in hopes he will read it! Stranger things have been known to happen;). Lonnie was in such a hurry I forgot to get out my camera! He is all about not waisting any time.

Happy 56th birthday, Lonnie! Hope it is a good one.

Monica & Mark, Marleigh is getting to be quite the little lady. I love the chair. And, Paul very much enjoyed the story about the soup, and I'm sure he will have something to say next time we see you!

I just wanted to share some pictures of the research I'm working on this summer. The lab is so messy, half of my time is spent searching for the materials I need! lol But I am enjoying it very much, and of course learning a lot.

You can see a room at the back of the lab, that's where the mice are, but thankfully I don't have to work with the little critters! The gray and blue machine is the beast that keeps holding me back. It's the stuff you see on CSI, but let me assure you that it takes more than a 1 hour episode to get it done. One guy told me that particular step took him 4 months!

The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning in the lab is broken and has been since before I started working there. Yestereday when I left Bluefield it was 95, and we have to wear pants!

You guys enjoy the air conditioning for me!

The pictures look great of the house and the graveyard. The doctor said he would do the surgery the new way if possible. Please keep us in your prayers. We hope to come in to visit when this is over. Tell mom we said hi and we love her.

Monica ,Marliegh is getting so big ,so fast and she is a doll, I know you and Bobbie are really enjoying her , she will grow up fast and you will wonder where the time went.

Lonnie, Tanner, Jacob and Andy went to the cemetery to work on Daddys grave and smooth out the dirt. We went up last night and got some pictures. The road is soooo dry and in really good shape if anyone wants to go up. As soon as we are supposed to get a little rain, me and the boys are gonna go up and plant some grass and some flowers!
Janet, I have my air turned to 68 but during the day it just doesn't get there. Its so hot outside I am lucky to have it at 74 in the house!
Alice, Good luck with the surgery! Are they doing the surgery through the little incisions or are they going to do the old fashioned kind?

Keeping cool? At mom's house...yeah right! Teresa and grandma walk around with sweats and blankets all the while the air is already set to 75. Meanwhile, I am having a heat stroke. The other day, I promise it was 90 outside, and I had to laugh when mom told grandma that she thought it was too chilly to go out just yet. I was thinking that when it did get warm enough, put me in the freezer:) Love you, MOM!

Hi All, Alice is scheduled for surgery on Aug. 3. We have our Vacation Bible School scheduled for next week and the Dr. is scheduled for surgery the next week and he said he needed a week to recover soooooo it's the 3rd of Aug.
I believe its hotter where you are Vonda than here in Ky, but its hot enough here for sure. We are in need of rain also. I'm having to water the garden just about every day or so.

Happy belated Birthday and Anniversaries to everyone!! Hope they were wonderful, blessed days :) Steve, things are looking good at the house. It looks much longer in the picture. Andy, Kim has gotten much hairier since last I saw her lol!! Her ears are longer too!! Just kidding. Looks like you and Gracie had a hard day. Well, it seems that Marleigh has found her fingers therefor we don't have much use for her paci now a days. Sometimes I'll wake up in the night and here her sucking away on her hand through the monitor. We were at moms yesterday evening and mom and I were talking while Marleigh was in her Bumbo seat. All the sudden she started laughing. I got Mark to video it with his Blackberry but for some reason the blog won't let me post any videos from the Blackberry :( Any suggestions from anyone? We tried to stay out of the heat today so we went to the mall. I found Marleigh a bikini :p I'll try to get her in a pool sometime in the next week or so. I can't wait!! I hope everyone else is staying cool and beating the heat.

We are going to see the doctor at 9:30 this morning for Alice's gallstones so all that can please say a prayer for us. We'll give an update when we know somepthing.

David and Susan, Sybil and Emma, invited Jacob and I to go to The Greenbrier Valley Theater to see a production of a childrens book "If You Give A Moose A Muffin". It was actually a dinner theater at the PB&J cafe! The had little round tables set up for the kids with paper plates and napkins with the little plastic chairs for them to sit in. The song Peanut Butter Jelly Time came on and here came the cast with either peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or hotdogs, pudding and juice boxes. They then proceeded with the play. There was lots of interaction with the kids. It was really cute.
Bobbie I thought of you and your kids that you baby sit. You can do sock puppets behind a box while they eat their lunch!
The adults weren't served so we were forced to eat at Ruby Tuesdays afterward! We had a really good time. Chad was at home doing double duty with the twins!
