Julie,
I have been tolerating the IV antibiotics fair. They make me feel pretty bad and about the time I start to feel good its time for the next dose. But this PICC line, that stands for Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter, is wonderful! No IV sticks, no burning veins, and I don't have to have it changed every couple days. I only have a couple veins so thats important. And another good thing is they can draw blood from the PICC line as well!
I had to see the ENT for this Staph Infection in my sinuses and he put a scope in my sinuses up through the nose and said things looked good. He took a culture and said he wants me to have a CT scan of my head and sinuses tomorrow. If the CT scan shows no acute infectious process going on I will be clear to get my chemo, probably on friday. If there is still an infection then it will have to be post poned because of my decreased immunity.
So thats about it.
It is pouring the rain here, calling for flooding and high waters! Then according to the local stations we will be getting 1-3 inches. That usually means it will be sunny or we will get 12 inches:)
