Dennis Wayne Gillespie CRAWLEY — Dennis Wayne Gillespie, 56, of Hundley Road, went home to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, Nov. 4, 2012, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, following a long illness. Born March 13, 1956, at Richwood, W.Va., he was the son of John D. and Helen Shawver Gillespie. Dennis was an outdoorsman, and loved to hunt. He and his wife both enjoyed singing gospel music. Dennis was a truck driver for The Waggoner Trucking Co., and was a member of Lewisburg Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Kathryne Denise Ward Gillespie of Crawley; his parents, John and Helen Gillespie of Crawley; a daughter, Heather Marie Gillespie of Maxwelton; a stepdaughter, Rachel McCoy of Lewisburg; a sister, Nina Amick of Nettie; two nephews, Johnathon Parks of Grand Junction, Colo., and Daniel Parks of Greenville, Tenn.; and a stepgranddaughter, Mya Kathryne McCoy. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Lewisburg Baptist Church in Lewisburg, with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Entombment will be at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum at Clintonville. Friends may call one hour prior to the service (1 to 2 p.m. Thursday). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
