That's pretty neat Trish! I'm glad you don't have to drive to Lewisburg every day for that. Even though it's not that far it would still be a hassle to plan your days around that.

I'm extremely sore and having a lot of pain in my back and when I take deep breaths. I can't turn on my side or stomach to sleep so it's not very comfortable. Julie, Alice, did/are you having the same kind of pain? I was the first one in surgery and they let Paul and his mom come back to see me around 9:30. The anesthesia is wonderful when they put you to sleep, but waking up is pretty difficult for me. That's the fifth time I've been put under and I still can't see why anyone would want to do that kind of stuff all the time! I was trippin'! Paul and his mom were laughing pretty hard at me. I told them the wallpaper looked like bandaids, saw stuff crawling on the ceiling and all kinds of stuff. I even called Paul a "meanie" because he made me put my blood pressure cuff back on. I took it off because my whole body was itching. I think the oxygen makes me do that. Even though I got out pretty early, we didn't get to leave the hospital until 2:30 because I was nauseated and couldn't sit up. For those of you who have been through this, do you have any suggestions that help ease the pain? They gave me Percocet but I thinnk it helps to cut them in half and take them every 2 hours. If I take the regular dosage I'm out!

Paul stayed home with me today and I'm going to see what his plans are. I'd like to go see grandma today! I talked to Ruth last night. She is sick so she's trying to keep her germs away from Grandma so Bobbie is doing all the feeding and meds, etc. Grandma took her medicine yesterday but spit everything else out. Saturday she did pretty good, but Sunday she only ate 5 or 6 spoonfuls and drank quite a bit of liquid. I don't remember which evening it was but Merrell and Donna went to visit and played music for Grandma for about 3 hours and she didn't go to sleep at all! Didn't even put her head back! She's been sitting up until about 10:00 every night with Ruth and Bobbie watching Christmas movies and seems to like it. Even though she doesn't seem like she's eating or drinking very much, Grandma talked to me for the first time Saturday and she hasn't done that in a long time.

Mom and Dad are headed back today from their vacation. From talking to them I think they've eaten themselves miserable! I have an image of two Weebles coming home instead of my parents! Hopefully Mom will have some pictures to post when they get back.

Take care everybody, and if I don't talk to you before hand or get to see you, Happy Thanksgiving!

Love,
Addy
