Trish, you certainly do have a beautiful way of arranging words that mean so much. Are you keeping them all. Your poems I mean. With Timmy's and yours and any grandkids that write poems, maybe we could come up with a book? Maybe David could hook us up with his publisher? Maybe in the future!
I am so glad Mom rested last night. I did as well. Thanks for calling, Trish. It means a lot to me. Thank-you Rita for your care of her. I think I told Ruth, I am envious of the memories you will have of her as the spring days turn into summer and then into fall. You will use your words to paint us a picture, that we too can share in the years ahead? My memory bank needs a touch up once in a while! Maybe Trish can pen us a few more poems?
I wanted to tell you all what a beautiful tribute the funeral was. With everyone taking a part, it did come together and touched the heart of everyone there. The comments I heard was outstanding in every way. "I have never been to a viewing where people streamed in for over 2 hrs." "His obit was so extraordinary." "He must have been a giant of a man!" And it comforted my heart to hear it said! Makes me proud to have stood in his shadow all those years. At the same time I have regrets-That I didn't spend more time with him and that I didn't tell him as often as I could have, just how much he meant to me. I hope he knew. I miss him!
