Good Mornin' Ya'll
Daddy had a good night. They went to bed at 7 and Daddy only had 1/2 percocet. He slept all night, but I found him on the couch and I asked him if he was hurting. He said "not to amount to nothing". I asked him if he was sick. He said no! I asked him why he had gotten up to come to the couch and he said :) "I don't know!" He is starting to sound like Mommy. I have a system that seems to be working and I will write it down today and post it on the inside of the cabinet (on the wall going into the old LR). Please try to follow it when staying with them. Ya know, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" He ate 2 Saltines, 12 oz. of milk, 4 oz. of prune juice, 3/4 of a yogurt, 1 egg with cheese, and half slice of bread with grape jelly. I spread this out over about an hour b/c if I took it all to him at once, he would be a might overwhelmed. When I got to the eggs, I took Mommy hers in to the LR too. He looked at me kinda funny and I said, "Now, you ain't hurtin' and you ain't sick at your stomach, so there ain't no reason why you can't eat." And so he ate it. I asked Mommy how many eggs she wanted for breakfast, "one or a half a dozen?" That got a chuckle out of both of them. Daddy's color is so much better. Now if you haven't seen him in a while, you might not think he looks good, but he looks better than I've seen him in a few weeks. I told them I wouldn't bother them til lunch time! The Lortab in the morning and somewhere between 12 and 2, seem to be working fine for now. We don't want to over medicate him, just keep the pain under control. However, don't wait until he is hurting to give him his pain med or it will be out of control. Also, When you are here, and fixing food for them, make sure it has some nutritional value. I told him, once his body realized it wanted food again, he would be eating his meals and all the junkfood he could get his hands on. Going to do some laundry and make some Banana Bread. Talk to ya'll afterbit. Wow, it is amazing how my vocabulary has changed since I quit working. I'm starting to sound like the company I keep...Blain! O My Word!!
