Wow, I am loving adding people to the blog! I added Teresa, Sue Merrimen-which is Aunt Jeri's daughter (give us a shout Sue:)), Donna-Aunt Naomi's daughter. Lots going on. They may not all chat on here but hopefully are reading and getting a chuckle at some of these hillbilly memories. Who was it that mommy has the picture of the cow and the kids milking it and was it one of her nieces that thought chocolate milk came from brown cows? I love that story. And I think I have the picture on a cd. Will have to dig that one up. Bobbie was that you? for some reason I thought it was.

Michelle you and Teresa bring a face lift to the blog. I love it Michelle that we hear about someone else having a worse Winter than us in Greenbrier County. LOL Not that I want you snowed in or anything, but as long as you are there isn't it wonderful that you are seeing history being made. Worse snow in 100 years? That's pretty awesome. We probably have 5 or 6 inches but with the blowing its hard to tell. The wind and temps is what is sooooo bad. 9 degrees here with a windchill of -10. brrrrrr

Jacob loved Mommy's pies! I wished I had been more interested in the making instead of the eating of them so I could make some for him. I guess I am going to have to practice. Although I think her big secret was daddy's apples and lots and lots of grease on slow heat. She actually deep fried them and watched them diligently....until the smoke alarm went off and she had to go wave it down!

Well yesterday didn't turn out the way I had hoped. I got to see the Dr. that is actually going to give me the medicine. His name is Dr. Verrapauli, I think from India maybe? But he has only been in Lewisburg for a year and I loved him. Very thorough and kind and soft spoken. Our little county has been without an oncologist for a few years. And it is so nice to have that option close by for those that need it. Bill and Grace Legg have been traveling to Low Moor in VA-they are both nearing 80 and what an inconvenience. So it is a gift from God in my book. The hospital told me they couldn't give me the meds so I thought I was going to have to go back to the Cleveland Clinic to get it. So whoever prayed that down, Thank U :o)

By the time I finished seeing the doctor it was close to noon. He said I would have to have 3 pre dose meds before getting the IV chemo. They will all be IV as well. something for nausea, Zofran, one for my stomach, Zantac, and a dose of hydrocortisone, since I am on so much prednisone. The chemo itself will take no less than 4 hours, no more than 8hrs but more than likely close to six with the pre doses and stuff. I guess you guys prayed so hard yesterday that God decided to give me another day! I got a little Christmas shopping done, I also got the boys to disinfect my house while I was gone. Jacob got the steam shark and went over the kitchen and dining room. Tanner had the couch to do- And for those of you that know my couch---its large and furry! oh yeah and if you sit where Jacob does you can get enough food out of the cracks to feed a third world nation! Anyway, they did a great job, So that just left me with the bathrooms.

I go this morning at 9 and will be there most of the day I guess. I am already nauseated...must be my nerves. I am hoping I can get a dose of XANAX as well as Zantac. LOL

Julie, I asked the Oncologist about my animals and guess what? You were right...but you knew that didn't you:) He said too risky, with the chemo on top of the other three drugs I am taking for polymyositis, my risk of infection kind of shoots through the roof. They are worried about scratches, bites, and saliva...oh and the "stuff" that is underneath a cats nails? Anyway, my poor cat has a bad leg and I picked him up from the vet yesterday. He is on antibiotics 2x daily and trust me he doesn't like it. Tried to bite me the whole time I tried to get it in his mouth. So....I guess they will be in the hands of the kids, but boy will I miss their company!

Kids have a 2h delay today, You guys stay warm and cozy, Dave if you have any extra warmth from down south, send it north!

I will hopefully blog this evening, but if you don't hear from me you know I am sick.

Love and prayers for all you guys from Dawson;o)
