Rita, that was funny...two things that don't go together are "mouthy one" and "Bobbie" lol. Mom sneaked in on Marleigh in the living room while she was walking around. When Marleigh saw her she just stopped and grinned so big and finally walked over to her. She loved that little butterfly mom got her. She sat down in the floor with it and clapped away :p Mark had to go to work tonight so I thought I would get on the Wii after Marleigh went to bed. It felt the need to let me know it had been 690 days since I had last been on there (fyi-I hadn't been on it since I found out I was pregnant lol). That did not deter me any. I played some tennis and baseball till my right arm started aching a little. I'm sure I'll be feeling that in the morning lol. I'm glad you girls had a wonderful time. Vonda said that she didn't take any pics of you all, did any of the rest of you take any? Post'em if you got'em :)

Hey Ya'll
I'm home and Bobbie should be around 5:30. We had a really good trip. It was short, but definitely sweet. Bobbie and I didn't realize it was so easy to go to Vonda's. Not like the 12 hour trips we remembered from back in the day. We will definitely do that again. When we got to Ruth's, Dan checked the weather and told us to go up on Monday and back on Tuesday, missing the storm. We did and had no problems, however, it was slick coming back, but we just slowed it down abit and came right on past all those wrecks. I think there were 5 cars and 2 tractor trailers, one on it's side in a ravine. It looked like he had been airborne! Bobbie wasn't even scared. She sat in the back and read her book. God was definitely with us.
It was so good to see David and he hasn't lost his sense of humor. I hugged him and asked him if he knew who I was and he said "Yeah, the mouthy one...Bobbie." Now that right there was funny!!! Just wish the visit could have been longer and yeah...don't let Vonda fool ya...She should drive for Nascar and I ain't even kidding!!
We did alittle shopping at the Thrift Stores while we were there...Okay, we did have Teresa with us...we did alittle more that a little....OKAY...We shopped til we dropped, everyday. We even shopped in Michigan right before we left, but we stayed ahead of the storm.
Marleigh looks so sweet...we told Bobbie that she would probably run to Nana!
I couldn't believe how the snow has melted up here. I didn't even have to put the truck in 4-wheel drive.
Go Packers!! Oh sorry Colin, Go Steelers!
It is 2:30 am and my children refuse to sleep.  I thought I would play on the computer between thier coughs and cries.  I have had a whole fifteen minutes without anyone beckoning me so maybe that is a good sign.  I would go back to bed, but they are both in mine and well...I'll just stay up.

Kadien got a camo (hunting) Bible for Christmas and he wants to read it at night before bed.  I usually read him a passage before bed.  The other night I was reading the 23rd Psalm and he listened so intently. I told him that Grandma Treadway liked that one.  He talked about grandma for a while and said he wanted her to come over and play.  Then, last night when we went to read, he told me that he wanted to hear grandma's favorite one.  He has a good memory.

How are you girls doing?  You must be having fun since we aren't hearing from you.  Dad said something about mom coming home today so we'll be praying for safe travel.

How's the weather up north?  Like we need to ask.

Love you all and miss reading about your days.

Trees that Would...

Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods. They were discussing their hopes and dreams when the first tree said, "Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold, silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving and everyone would see the beauty."

Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will take kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my hull."

Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and straightest tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the hill and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time and people will always remember me."

After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to sell the wood to a carpenter" ... and he began cutting it down. The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him into a treasure chest.

At the second tree a woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree, I should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was happy because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.

When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come true. One of the woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my tree so I'll take this one", and he cut it down.

When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay. This was not at all what he had prayed for. The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end. The third tree was cut into large pieces and left alone in the dark. The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams.

Then one day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree. The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time. Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the second tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and he stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time, the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings as a boat.

Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified on it.

The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your trust in Him, He will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined. We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.

Vonda~  Glad to hear that all is well.  Good for you for scaring them~ they were probably driving from the backseat anyway!  LOL

Be sure to take pictures of that "historical storm" that you are getting.  Hope the girls enjoyed their snow day.  It was 50 degrees for a while here today.  Much cooler now though!

Love you!
Well i just got back from the nursing home and , every thing was going ok . David seems to be content that he has to do his therapy every day .but that is a good thing . He was REALLY surprised with his company. But he was Happy that the girls came to see him.But they had to hurry back so they wouldn't get caught in the freezing rain, and they made it back to Ruth's ok.
I forgot to take pictures , I was to busy running. And Janet I did the driving here , so they had to put up with me. But I think I did scare them a few times. you know !!Just for fun.
Glad every one is doing ok .The kids had a snow day today so they were happy about that. Just hope they have school tomorrow. But our weather is supposed to be very cold.and thank you all for all the cards for David he enjoys them , I put them up all over his wall , so he can see them. How is your face doing Addy? hope it doesn't leave any scares.Well Ill hush for now talk to you all later. love you All.
Monica~ I would put this to you, but it looks like we have our own personal blog these days.  Dad "says" he is sticking to weight watchers while mom is gone so that rules out my cooking.  I cook Paula D style- "start with a stick of butter..."  Plus, dad thinks I can't cook, wonder where he got that idea?  I have actually gotten much better at it over the years.  The smoke alarm doesn't sound near as often now.

I wondered if the storm followed mom or if mom followed the storm.  Do you just have a mental picture of that trip?  Vonda and Ruth yelling directions at mom. Mom yelling back and driving with one arm on the wheel and one arm in the air.  Bobbie sitting on the edge of the seat, praying!  LOL Now that is funny.

I haven't checked the weather for today, but I am pretty sure it is gong to miss us here.  I may actually have to go to work all week. :(

Love ya!

Janet, you should feel blessed :) I think you should make Blain a place to sleep and invite him over for dinner and a movie. I know Olivia and Kaiden would enjoy Grandpa having a sleep over lol. And breakfast would be wonderful the next morning :p Am I going to far with the cooking? LOL I fixed pinto beans, cornbread and opened a can of pickled beets this evening. Dad, the boys and Adam's girlfriend came over for supper. I couldn't get Karly to eat any beans though :{ Maybe she doesn't feel that comfortable around me yet lol. Marleigh did enjoy playing with her though. I talked to mom this evening and she said they made it back safely to Ruth's from Vonda's around 3:30. She said they had to come through a snow squall near Toledo and there were 2 tractor trailers laying on their side and 3 cars that were stuck on the side of the road. Rita navigated her way through the storm though with no problems :) I know living up on the mountain that was probably nothing for her to drive through :) Vonda, I hope you got some pics of yals visit, maybe you can post some of them. I pray everyone stays safe and warm in this storm that's coming in from the west. I think we're supposed to get rain starting tonight sometime through Thursday morning. Love you all :) I hear rain drops :)
Too cute~  Was she shaking her booty at the end or was she a little unstable there?  LOL  The kids are already in bed tonight, but Kaiden will get a kick out of that.

I think my dad is lonely.  I am pretty sure I can count on both hands how many times he has called me my whole life.  This week, he has called everyday.  He wanted to know what time I would be home from church tomorrow so that he could call.  Haha  Makes me feel special!

Here's little Miss Marleigh walking :) I can't believe she did this while sucking her thumb lol :p I got a few other videos of her walking but she was crying in them. She wanted our camera and when I wouldn't let her have it she got mad lol.

Monica~  Glad you got a minute to "rest your eyes."  Post some pictures of Marleigh takign her big steps.

Trish~  Kaiden was a monster before the 4-wheeler:)  He told dad last night that he was grounded from the 4-wheeler because he bit Olivia.  Dad told him that I should take it.  Kaiden said, "No, it's still mine, but I can't ride it."  He wanted to clear that up for dad, I guess.

Trish~  Are you going ot get to go to Sybil's party?
Well it looks like we missed an ice storm! We were supposed to get it from last night through today but it missed us. We still have plenty on the ground and our roof.

Marsha did I see you on the blog? You should do it more often:)

Janet I hope you know you have created a monster! Jacob was 3 when he got his first gas powered 4wheeler and look at him now...lol

Monica the fun is just beginning! With marleigh walking now things will never be the same:) she is an early walker. None of my kids walked before they were a year old!

Today is groundhogs day and from the looks of things outside I don't think he will see his shadow. It's hard to believe that daddy has been gone for almost a year now. I imagine he would be getting ready for spring right about now. He would always get several of those seed and flower catalogs and no matter how many he had he always managed to order SOMETHING;)

No, I haven't heard from mom yet :p I thought I'd give her a few days before I called her, if she doesn't call me. Ruth, Rita, Teresa or Vonda, if any of you get on the blog let mom know that Marleigh was calling for her "Nana" this morning lol!! We've had beautiful weather the last two days. It was 62 today for the high. I got to enjoy it coming and going from church. After church this morning Mark went to help a friend put in a pellet stove. I believe Marleigh played with the children during church instead of taking a nap because she took over a two hour nap when we got home so I layed on the couch and "rested my eyes" :) Love you all, talk to you soon :)
Wow- the blog sure is "quiet"~ LOL~  Just kidding girls!
Blain and Matthew, you guys are having way too much fun! But I guess I can rely on Kaiden to keep you both in line. Mess with his ride and you will both be walking!!!!
You tell 'em Kaiden.
Monica~  Is your mom calling several times a day to check and see if she is walking yet?

When I catch Matthew riding that little 4-wheeler by himself is when I'll have to post pictures!  Haha

Vonda~  Praying for you.

Love you all!
