Emily~  The top exploded to make room for more butter:)
I attempted home made bread for the first time today. It turned out pretty good! I'm not sure why the top kind of exploded...lol.

David said to tell you all thanks for the cards, I put them up in his room, so it would look a little homey for him, he had therapy to day for about an hour, and is getting it 6 days a week, and he is sore all over. so I guess its working.but I think he has a long way to go .but he is trying, so continue to keep him in your prayers for strength to increase. And my thanks to you all , and my prayers too love you all.
Addy~ Think we could get that on a brochure?  I think it would get me some sales!
Those of you that are close~  Olivia is selling Blue Smoke Salsa for her school if anyone wants any.

Love you all!

I told Janet that I should definitely be her model for Mary Kay! If it can do this for me, imagine what it could do for you! My face is healing pretty good, it's itching like crazy though!
‎"But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble." - Psalm 59:16
Yes Trish, the top picture says it all. "This is how we keep them happy!!!!!!" Looks like you had a wonderful day of making memories. I can just see Momma sitting in the floor among them and letting them wallow all over her, can't you?

I Pray You Enough

Recently, I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged, and the mother said, 'I love you, and I pray you enough....'

The daughter replied, 'Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I pray you enough, too, Mom.'

They kissed, and the daughter left. The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there, I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy, but she welcomed me in by asking, 'Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?'

Yes, I have,' I replied. 'Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?'

'Well...I'm not as young as I once was, she lives so far away & has her own busy life. I have some challenges ahead, and the reality is - her next trip back will be for my funeral,' she said.

'When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say, 'I pray you enough.' May I ask what that means?'

She began to smile. 'That's a prayer that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone..' She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more. 'When we said, 'I pray you enough,' we wanted the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them.'

Then, turning toward me, she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory.

I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.

I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.

I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.

I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.

I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

Then, she began to cry, and walked away

Rita

Brooks is a little butterball! Has Clara had her first haircut yet? Trish they look content and happy at your house!
Went down to Lecanto and visited Merrell and Donna last evening. He was able to come home from the hospital. He is in quite a bit of pain from the blood clot in his leg. Must stay on the meds and in the prone position most of the time. Anytime he is up in the vertical the pressure builds up quickly and causes him pain. They are exactly 1 and 1/2 hours south of us. Donna will take him back and forth often (maybe daily) where he will be treated on an out-patient basis. Keep them both in your prayers.
