We are in the basement at grandma's right now. They've been in bed for an hour. Aside from getting here this morning, today has been a pretty lazy day. The satellite was out earlier so I put a planet earth dvd in and they liked that. Had beans for lunch and tomato soup for dinner. Grandpa had some soup and ate almost a whole grilled cheese. This evening we watched lucy and ol yeller...they really liked that!
I'm not sure how much snow we have but Mark's been shoveling since yesterday. We went to some friends house last night to play Rook and it was pretty nasty, still sleeting at the time. We had to cancel the baby shower again today but it has been rescheduled for this Friday, the 12th, at 6 pm at our church. So if any of you would still like to come we would love to have you. Rita, I do believe Marleigh may be a snow baby. Dad was telling me the day I was born it started snowing after they got to the hospital and it was a pretty good one. So.......like mother, like daughter? lol Yal will have to post some pics of your weather up there. I haven't seen Fozzie or Bandit lately, hope their doing ok :) I think I will make some potatoe soup with cornbread (if Mark will make the cornbread, I haven't quite mastered that yet).
We're getting heavy snowfall now. We're probably somewhere around 18 inches and counting. If it does this all day, we will surely pass the 2 ft. mark. Nothing is moving here, so needless to say, Blain couldn't get out for work. They don't have power at the mines, so the cleaning plant is down and they aren't trucking any coal. They had a coal truck to overturn on Rt 20 yesterday, but no one was hurt. These are the kind of winters we were having when I met Blain and I STILL let him move me up here. Must have been love.... or something! I've got a fire in the cookstove and I plan to can some vegetable soup today. We were up at 4 and out at 5:30 scraping the driveway.
My little man is 2 today. Happy Birthday Kaiden!! As soon as the road is cleared, we will head to Maplewood. I figure it will be tomorrow afternoon, at least, before I see anything resembling a snowplow. How is it down there in Virginia? Bet most of those Virginian's are ready to move to Florida!

EVERYBODY needs a Lonnie at their house!!
What time did Daddy wake up? Maybe if he can get those pain pills around the clock he will eventually get used to them and not want to sleep ALL the time. But at least it is helping the pain and he was able to sleep.
I fixed Biscuits and Gravy, fried apples, eggs and bacon for breakfast yesterday while Rita went with Blain to the doctor and you would not believe what all Mommy ate. 2 fried eggs, apples, lots and lots of burnt bacon ( I like mine really crispy so I burnt it and she said she liked hers like that too, she couldn't get enough) and a biscuit with honey and one with sandwich spread. After all that she was still snooping around the table at the SWEETS!
Daddy on the other hand only ate a little bit of apples and a piece of a biscuit. But they did share an Ensure after all that.
Rita and I and the boys worked on moving some mattresses around in the basement so that we have the best ones in the new part where the furnance isn't so loud. Tanner and Jacob had never seen a SET of springs! They really like the bed with those on it. Nice and bouncy AND noisy!!
I gave Mommy and Daddy both manicures and pedicures yesterday with the manicure set Teresa got Mom for Christmas...really nice.

Daddy has been asleep since Trish left today at 1:00. He was due for a pain pill at 2:30 but is still asleep. It's now 5. Something has happened to the water. Went to turn it on and Nothing!!! The spring is full and the breaker hasn't been kicked, so I did what anybody with any sense would do...I called Lonnie! He's on his way. Let you know what happened later.

Trish and I started to come home and tell Mommy she was pregnant (You know how she likes that verse...with God, all things are possible...but we didn't know if her heart could take it when we had to tell her...Not really!! Daddy is hurting alot today. I told him that he needs to take the pain meds BEFORE he starts hurting so bad and not to wait until he hurts. He had taken one sometime in the early morning hours and it was 1:30 when I asked him when he took his last one. Soo.. I will make sure he takes them q 4 hrs. His Dr. okayed that today rather than his scheduled q 6 hrs. For anyone coming to stay with them, I am going to put a checklist on the inside of the cabinet on the wall, going into the old living room. It will include giving them their meds or making sure they have taken them. It will also include rubbing lotion on Daddy's feet, back, etc. Just little reminders.
We r at the doctors office. Everything is fine with mom. No cancer! Just one of those normal female things. No worries and no return appt. Check the blog!

Hey All,
Thought I was going to be able to connect to the Internet via US Cellular Modem and be online at Mommy's, but don't think that is going to happen. I could get online at Mommy's but not at home so I guess I will just keep on paying HughesNet for now. Can't pay for both places! In about a year, they should have the AT&T tower up and running on Backus, and maybe I can go wireless then. It sure would have been handy. I will be going to Mommy's in the morning and staying until Thurs. night when Steve comes up. Mommy starts looking for him about Tuesday. Marcia and Lonnie stayed Sat. and Sat. night. Marcia helped Mommy sew a Blanket and I understand that Mommy and Steve cut out all the pieces!
