traveling pictures

These pictures are from our brief visit. Glad we got to spend time with Grandma and everyone. Toot is at a McDonalds in Columbus Ohio holding the dog we got from the shelter in Summersville.
Evenin'~ Mommy is home, got released about 1, she slept most of the way home. When we came up on the porch and let Sadie out, she went bonkers. She was so happy to see Mommy and Mommy just smiled. I think she recognized the house and her room. She has been laughing more this evening than she was this morning. She hasn't eaten much but I did get some chicken noodle soup down her when we got home. Her BP was 138/86 when we got her home so that is good. She had a soap suds enema before we left the hospital and it worked...That's all I got to say about that!!

Bobbie, Please tell Adam and Corey that I am so sorry to hear about their friend and that we will be praying for their families.

Mom, glad we got to have lunch today too! We had some catching up to do:)

Addy, I hate to break it to you, but you were not the reason that grandma was in such a good mood...anyone want to guess here? It is because she was watching Loretta Lynn!!!!!

Trish, could you give me Cybil and Chad's address?

Please pray for Olivia. She wanted so badly to see grandma today, but the doctor said she has croup? croop? She did manage to sneak a hug and maybe even a kiss on the cheek from Teresa:) She washed good though! She came home after getting a steroid shot and felt awful all evening. Kaiden wants to know if she is going to the hospital to stay with grandma? LOL They would kick them out, wouldn't they? Anyway, pray for her and pray that Kaiden avoids it as well.

Grandma and I have been laughing all evening. In the first picture I told her she better stop waving that baby around before she got motion sickness! And of course, she just laughed at me. Her bp was really good when the nurse came earlier to take her vitals. She's been drinking really well this evening also. We are watching Coal Miner's Daughter and she's sitting up in bed. She hasn't slept any this evening since I've been here so she should sleep good tonight, especially after she's laughed as much as she has.

She kept moving around so I asked her if she wanted me to turn her and she said no. I asked if she wanted some pudding or jello and she said no. I asked if she needed me to scoot her up in the bed and she said no. Then I asked her if she needed to go to the bathroom and you guessed it, she said no.

She was laughing and carrying on every time I asked her a question and I told her if she was going to keep me guessing I'd just have to dance around the room and wave at her. That one she liked!

I guess we'll turn in after the nurse comes back at 10. She's just holding on to her baby dolls now. The little one we named Addy #2! That struck her funny too for some reason.

Well Goodnight everybody! We'll talk to ya tomorrow!

Hey All
I got to have lunch with Olivia and Janet today and it was a treat. I talked to Dr. Anderson today and Mommy will have to go home with her catheter. Her bowels are still giving us a fit, but we are working on that. Shawn and Lori, Timmy, Cindy and Deegan came to visit last night. She tires easily and can't seem to eat when she is tired. Physical Therapy is working with her twice a day. Some of her meds can be crushed when she goes home but some of them can't so that will be a challenge. She is resting now, but not asleep.
Wonderful news! I know she is getting tired of all the interruptions at night.
It was Mom's idea when she stayed with me to keep them in one bed together. We put their backs together and they could feel each other wiggling around and they quieted right down. Tell Cybil we will say a special prayer just for her in the coming weeks! Oh, my kids loved the video of the elephants!

One of Corey and Adams close friends in high school was killed on Friday, going to his girlfriends graduation. He was on his motorcycle and traveling too fast, lost control and hit a jeep. Remember those families. Corey was showing me pictures of the road where he died and all the writing with chalk that people were leaving for his family. Such a nice gesture! We say good-by in many ways. His name was Travis.
Bobbie, yeah I am going to help with them. Last night their grandma said they were fussy and the put them in the same crib and one put their forehead on the others cheek and they went right to sleep. She is going to swaddle them at home and keep them in the same crib. They are so cute. I can't wait. If mommys bp is good I bet she will be home before the weekend is out.

Trish

Have you guys forgotten the scriptures already? Ask Mom"With God, all things are ?" See what she says. Tell Ruth she can stand a dose of "sweet" herself! So she can get on the bandwagon with me! Elliott agrees with you tho. I'm no where near as sweet as my mom. She has won those in-laws over, hasn't she! Sounds like Hasel is a little sweetheart in her family too.
Ruth, you are going to be ready for the chiropractor when you get home.
Is she still laughing with the "potty word"!
Trish are you going to be helping to babysit the twins when Cybil goes back to work? Mom stayed with me the first week home. She went home the second week and I cried the whole week. I guess I felt overwhelmed. But I can truly say that it began to get better from there and I am so proud of them both today!
Any idea yet when Mom will blow that popsicle joint? Yeah, see if you can get her some popsicles! She might like crunching those!

Mommy had to have a catheter put back in because she is still unable to void. They did it about 5:30 and she had retained 650 mls. She ate fairly well today. Teresa came and she and Ruth are staying tonight and I am going home tonight. I will come back tomorrow, so I can see how PT walks her.

Rita, you all tell Mommy, to get busy with the potty thing or her eyeballs will be floating again ,and we cant have that. I am glad she got to see her sister, that probably made her day.So glad she is talking too.
Bobbie~Ruth said there ain't enough time left for that! You started way too late. Mommy hasn't been able to void since her foley was removed. Physical Therapy walked her today and wore her out. She took a nap afterwards and hasn't eaten lunch yet but as soon as she finishes with the student nurse, we are going to feed her. Nothing much has changed. They will scan her bladder this evening and twice a day thereafter.
Good Afternoon everyone!
Congratulations Cybil! That is a wonderful weight for twins. They are very handsome boys!
How's Momma doing today? Are they putting her through her paces? We're praying and rootin' for you Mom. Is she still laughing Ruth? Is Rita still making faces at her?
For the record, yesterday Mom said three short sentences that I heard her say clearly:
"Hasel is sweet" (talking about her sister)
"I love you too" (talking back to me) and
"With God All things are possible!"
She loved seeing her sister. That was good medicine for her! I told her I hope I am as sweet as she is when I am that age!
Sybils due date was July 1st I think. It's amazing to me to think of carrying two.... But she did a good job carrying them. She has the same problem as you Monica with the swollen feet. Nothing fit except flip flops. When emma talked to her mommy before I put her to bed that was the second question. First she asked " did the babies come out?". The second one was did your feet go down? I thought that was so funny;)

Grandma, I'm glad to hear you are doing better. I like Jr. Mints myself :) Daniel and Alice, glad you made it home safely. Trish, how close did Sybil make it to her due date? She looks good and so do the babies. Adam and Corey weighed 6 1/2 and 6 1/4 so their weights are pretty good I believe.

Sybil, Aaron Everette, and Andrew Clayton

Please tell mommy that little red that i baby sit has two new little brothers aaron everette 6.9 and andrew clayton 6.1 and all are well.

Hail from Ky,
Glad to hear that mommy had a good day and that they are going to work with her a few more days. Alice has a dr. appt. on Thursday a 2:15, so pray for us and we will keep everyone posted.
Hail from Rm 301
Mommy had a good day today. Physical Therapy came today and walked her twice and they said she did good. She ate a little supper but not much, which is usual for her if she eats a good breakfast and a good lunch. Of course, Bobbie had just fed her a pack of junior mints which she picked up out of her hand and ate. Ruth and I are staying tonight. Mommy wasn't ready for bed so we turned her over and turned on the news.
I am back at the hospital and Mommy is eating her lunch really good. Bobbie has mastered the feeding. She loves those little Jr. Mints. Her sister, Hazel and her son, Bill came to see her yesterday and spent the night at a hotel and then came back to see her this morning before they left. She has been drinking milk, ya'll know she doesn't like milk but she liked that. She has been walking for PT and she talked to Hazel this morning. It's raining her and gloomy. Mommy is going to get a bath and then a nap before PT again.
I talked to mommys doctor this morning. She is going to be in a skilled bed for the next 2 to 3 days. They willl take out her catheter to see if she can void on her own. Stop all iv's and see what she can do on her own. Physical therapy will work with her more aggressivily. Will also advance her diet to soft.
She will still be in the same room with the same phone number.
Mornin~ Bobbie came in Saturday evening and she and Ruth stayed with Mommy so I could come home and see Blain =) They also stayed last night. I'm going back over this morning. She had a good night except for the alarm on the pump for her IV's kept going off. She ate better yesterday than the day before and we are learning little tricks to get her to swallow. She laughed alot yesterday but didn't talk. She may have said "NO" once. She had a couple visitors, Ernie and Enola Fitzwater. Several calls from people she goes to church with. Bobbie, Ruth and I gave her a bath, washed her hair, cleaned her nails and lotioned her from head to toe. Her potassium was low so they are giving her that IV. It's main function is to regulate BP. Physical Thereapy took her for a little walk and she was up alot yesterday sitting in the chair. The Dr. should come around about 8:00 so we should know more then. I don't look for her to be released today. Will let you know what the Dr. says today.

Daniel and Alice, glad you made it home okay. Alice so sorry you were diagnosed with gall stones. Do please keep us posted.
Vonda, Lorie, sure glad you are going to see Mommy. She will be thrilled to see you all.
The pictures of Mommy in the hospital are sooooo good in that we who cannot be there can still "visit" with her. Thanks Trish, Rita, Steve and everyone who took them. How is Lonnie progressing in his rehab, I know he was hoping to be able to go back to work sometime late June or early July. Maybe he will be 'good to go' by his birthday.
Love and miss you all!

Morning all!

We will be leaving for Trish's house early Monday morning. Please pray that we have a safe trip and don't encounter anything out of the ordinary. We hope to see Grandma and anyone else that wants to come by. Shawn and I are bringing Vonda and Maranda down so they can go to camp with Jacob. They are so excited. Trina might be coming down too. She works with me now and we are both off until Thursday. Janet, Vesta is going to absolutely bust if she don't get to see Miss Olivia! Can't wait to see everyone. Emily I love the black and white pictures. They are waaaaay cool. Trish if Danny needs anything from Harbor Freight text Shawn. They are open until 6pm today. My cell is 734-493-2391 and Shawn 313-492-2979. Marcia we hope to make it over to see you and Lonnie too. Love you all.
