Blain is hard at it. It works like a new one. Just needed the carburator(sp) cleaned. I should be able to walk down my front walk just like last Sunday after we blowed it out. It might even last until Mon or Tues. Sure do appreciate it Trish and Danny. You probably won't see a pic of me and the blower!!
I forgot to mention that I put the pill boxes up on top of the cabinet directly above where they were. They fit perfectly up there between the ceiling and the cabinet. I think you should be able to reach them fine. They are out of sight though. You can just reach up and put a finger on each side and lift them out. Maybe Mom will stay out of them!! Later, TMFI64.
They both work good. They won't hardly work back at Daddy's chair but they work good from the side couch. Daddy didn't sleep much last night. He said he had to take a double dose of pain meds. He also got up and drank some buttermilk in the night. It's 8:15 and he has been up for about half an hour. He was on the couch when I got up to fix breakfast. He says we may have to do something about his pain medicine??? He is up and about and seems to feel pretty good though. Later, TMFI64
I just checked the temp, and its a big 8 degrees. Danny got up early, couldn't sleep. He went to WalMart and got a few groceries. Jacob has 2 ballgames today, and then Emma has a birthday party we have been invited to! But the ballgames aren't til late afternoon, so we will probably be up around noon or so.
Steve how did the wireless keyboard work?

Well I am glad to see the virus scare didn't keep everyone away from the blog. Yeah Rita, when I went up to take the wireless keyboard to Steve I had to add a couple slices of cheese to daddys mac. He told me he wasn't hurting to awful bad right then. I asked him if the pain patch was helping and he said it was kind of hard to tell.
I went to the eye doctor because my eyes have been bothering me. Felt like I had a smudge on my eye, he said I have cataracts( both eyes) caused from the steriods I have taken for the autoimmune disease I have. I will have to have eye surgery on March 17th and 24th. The drug sure helps but I am beginning to think it isn't worth it! I am trying to get off of it, ever since I went to the Cleveland Clinic I have been going down on it. I decrease it my 1mg per month. Today I started on 7mg! Only 7 more months to go.....woo hoo!
I told Rita I was going to say I didn't get the virus but the cataracts jumped right out of the computer and attacked my eyes! LOL You have to laugh about the stuff or else you cry!!
We are supposed to have warm weather AND a ballgame tomorrow so we are keeping our fingers crossed. I am posting few pictures of the pups in the snow and Jacob trying to knock off the icicles...but I think it is useless!

The oven is clean! At least clean enough...I scraped it with a metal spatula and then wiped it real good. We'll probably need to use that dish rag for a shop rag now. Oops! I probably shouldn't have used a white one. Anyway, Mom and Dad went to bed about 6:00 after a pretty normal day. Vera Midkiff just called a little bit ago and we talked for about 20 minutes. She is so sweet. :) She said she is so proud of us kids and that we are all in her prayers. I think I'll retire to the basement. Later, TMFI64
ps. Rita, Daddy said your mac and cheese didn't have enough cheese! We had to jazz it up a bit for him. lol

Her name is Paula Browning and she lives at Rupert. I remembered her from being a Blood Donor. She was real nice and of course, they liked her. Blain has acquired a Snow Blower (see, there was one in the Eastern US) in Danny's outbuilding. He is like a kid with a new toy (kaiden with a new tractor!). I just hope he gets it going good before the next snow. Blain says it supposed to be really warm tomorrow. The sunshine today was wonderful. It did wonders for my mood. Bobbie, I forgot to clean the oven before I made cornbread this week, so I set off the smoke alarm and all I could do was jerk the battery out of it. I'll get it before you come back. Thanks Steve for loading the snow blower this morning. I appreciate it and Blain appreciates it more.
Here is the nurse that will be coming on Fridays. She helped Mom and Dad get a shower and checked out their vitals. She is really nice. I told her she couldn't leave until we got her picture. I can't remember her name? Rita do you remember? Everyone is just laying on the couch. We are listening to the Gaithers sing on TV. We had some of Rita's leftover potato soup and cornbread. Daddy had a milkshake earlier. Later, TMFI64.

Good Morning Mom, Dad and Steve! I am tired of all the snow! My little birds are chattering like they are ready to build nests. I found a fake, coiled up Cobra to lay on the driveway where I always park my car. I'm hoping they do not try to build on the motor of my car again this year. I had six fake snakes laying around the driveway last summer, but my kids find them when we ride our toys outside, and they carry them off.
Mommas dress looks pretty on her, eating her popcorn. It must have felt so good she decided to wear it again on Monday! Don't forget that you have 3 more new ones to wear. And if they shrink, we will blame it on the "washer woman!"
I love the picture of Montana in the cats house! I think she likes the old robe that Teresa put out there for the cats! And their house gets the sun on it where hers doesn't! She is a smart dog! Did anyone figure out why she still limps? She went down the hill to the mailbox with us over the weekend, and she still favors that leg.
Oh, Rita, did you find a burnt mess in the oven? Ruth was going to clean it up for me. I forgot all about it until I got home Sunday night! I will do a kindness for you sometime!
You ask about something softer for Dad to eat (besides soups, stews and puddings or jello). What about a chicken pot pie. It would have soft bread underneath with gooey broth, sweet potatoes cooked in their skins cook up really soft. Ruth made some fried onions over the weekend that were good.
I had all 4 of my kids today so I am beat! I have been trying to watch some of the Olympics at night. Are you all watching any? We love you and will see you on the 26th late. Bobbie

Yes, Rita I am reading it and as far as I know I dont have any virus, So Just keep on Blogging GIRL, The more the merrier. We had sunshine today ,but its supposed to be cold tonight. Glad Daddy is feeling a little better.Who would have ever thought you would be blogging from grannie's. Do they have a email address yet? if so send it to us.
Hey all, I'm bloggin' from Grandma's and since the virus scare, we need to know if you are still reading this or not. If nobody is following it, then we may as well just close it. We got internet at Mommy's in hopes of keeping THEM in touch more. Steve is going to hook the computer to the TV in the old living room so they can read the blog or at least look at the pics. They will also have email and I know they will enjoy hearing from you all. It only takes a minute of your time and it makes their day. They sit here all week sometimes without hearing from any of you so lets see what we can do about changing that! Daddy is feeling better after being nausaus all day. We gave him 2 Zofran for that, for those of you staying, he can have it every 4 hrs. if needed. He drank a milkshake for me this morning, 4 oz. of orange juice and a slice of cheese. That's all he would eat today. Mommy is doing fine. Steve and Lonnie will be on duty this weekend and Trish on Sunday.

The roof is leaking. Tanner and Tyler got up there and shoveled so much snow off that I couldn't get the back doors open. So then Danny had to try and shovel that out. I think I have picked up a virus but it isn't in my computer it's in me;(. Chilling and sneezing, aching all over. I think it's worse than a Trojan ! I think we must have about 3 foot of snow with more coming tomorrow and a new snowstorm coming next week! Definately had my fill of snow!

Daddy
The nurse just left, and Daddy has lost 5 lbs. We have determined that it is easier for him to eat soft food or liquids, so we are having a milkshake for supper. Going to buy anything that I can make soft. Any suggestions you can email me at rfmcclanahan1@gmail.com . She is also starting him on a stool softener called Miralax. It is prescription. And going to try a pain patch to see if maybe we can eliminate some of his constipation. We'll see. Ruth, will you send this to everyone that matters, so we won't pass around a virus. If I have one, I'm sure your protection will catch it. Grandma and Grandpa are online now!!!
If anyone is reading this, I am typing from Grandma and Grandpa's computer. So cool but a little big. Man, I hope we don't get a virus the first day!! I told the home health nurse that we were wireless and she was impressed. She can do some of her work from here online now. She'll probably be staying for supper before long.
Just checkin' in. Didn't want TMFI64 to get nothin' on me!! Daddy slept pretty good last night. Got up around 7 and I gave them their meds, and Daddy drank alittle hot chocolate. Mommy had french toast, a fried egg and Hot Tea. We are sitting by the kitchen window watching it snow (Now there's a surprise)! Tanner is coming up soon and plow the hill. The nurse (Jenny) will be coming this morning and Frontier will be coming this afternoon to get Grandma online. She has read the blog this morning, likes the pics mostly! Check in later.

Mommy & Daddy took us to Charleston for the weekend since it was Valentine's Day. We got to go swimming at the hotel. We also ate at Red Wobster...we like shrimp! Sorry we couldn't come up today, mom says the roads are slick. We had another snow day at home. We'll visit soon. We Love and Miss you!

Monica~You look so pretty! Don't worry about the inches! When you see Marleigh, you won't care if you had been 100 inches around the waist! It will all be worth it. Mark is looking an awful lot like a proud daddy too. I know his folks are so excited! There is absolutely nothing like becoming a grandma! And it is just as good the second time and hopefully the third and fourth times! Is there anything you see that you DIDN'T get and need.
That is a good pic of David and Julie and Michael's family. Handsome bunch, aren't they? Daddy had laid off of some of his pain meds, he told me they make him dream ole crazy stuff. And they do. It's a hard choice to make, pain or crazy feeling. I know when Blain had cancer, he wouldn't take the pain meds. He said they made him feel right goofy and he didn't like that feeling. He would just take a drink of moonshine (like ya'll didn't know) so maybe, I'll have to just give Daddy some of Blain's medicine! LOL I talked to Ruth this morning and she said he was up asking for the Outdoor Channel and he drank some tomato juice, so He knows how he feels better than we do. We just want him to be comfortable. It's all about quality of life.
TMFI64~You worked on the door handle, didn't you. Thanks. You will also notice there is a new kitchen blind up (it's clean) but you may have to change out the brackets, I saved them for you.
