Its 1am or 2am, depending on whether or not you have set your clock up. Daddy had a fairly good day. Rested good, taking only his pain medicine. had a few licks of a pop sickle and then made a terrible face and took his hand to push it away. That is actually the most movement I have seen in a while. He will suck on the toothette when you clean his mouth with cold water. He is starting to run a low grade fever, 99. But no obvious congestion, it is clearing with the breathing treatments and he rests and breaths so much easier after them. For those of you giving him the morphine, it is a very very tiny concentrated dose. And if you notice about 10 minutes after he gets it, he does stop breathing for about 10 seconds at a time. And he continues this cycle of breathing for about an hour and then reverts back to normal. That is just one of the side effects of MS. Mommy laid down in the bed with him today and slept quite a while. Its a good thing too cause they had company around 730. Rick and Linda Hamrick from their church came to visit and stayed til about 845. I was afraid I was going to have to let Mommy lay down, so its a good thing she had a nap. Rick sat at Daddys side and talked to him and he did acknowledge him. I am pretty sure he knew him. Mommy on the other hand, I had to remind her several times during the visit who they were.
Zac made pizzas and Emily made chicken dumplings for supper and mommy ate good. Then they made home made choc. chip cookies. Lonnie came right at the time we were getting ready to eat. He had been to the cemetery and dug the grave for Jeff Osborne. Quite the mud hole!
Mommy seemed to be getting a cold early on today. I found some cold medicine in the cabinet and gave her some Tylenol and when I turned daddy at 12MN she got up and went to the bathroom and said she felt better. Danny is staying with me tonight and we watched the WVU basketball games! Big East Champions, Alice did you and Daniel watch that? I know you like Basketball.
I think Bobbie, Elliott, Adam and Corey are coming up tomorrow to spend the day, then I'll be back on the night shift.
Daddy does seem to be waking up and in pain about an hour before its due so I am going to call the doc tomorrow and see if we can give it every 3 hours. It doesn't make him loopy, just sleepy. But when he does wake up he is quite lucid.
Don't forget to set your clock.
I think I am going to go make me some popcorn, get a diet coke and watch some TV for a while. I think the night life suits me!
Will blog more tomorrow! Don't forget Bobbie AND Michelle's birthday is the 14th. Not sure if Michelle reads the blog. Probably not, I don't think they get good Internet service in Germany!
