Hey there,
We had a wonderful weekend this weekend at Steve and Teresa's. We missed those of you who couldn't be there. As you can see I have posted some pics. I've been having some technical issues with the computer so I had to call Trish for tech support :) Since I'm emailing these from Kodak it has all that extra space and Kodak info, my apologies :P I want to elaborate a little on each post.
Vonda, Daniel, David and Timmy: Do any of you know WHERE the pics of the house were taken FROM? Steve, Ruth, Rita and mom were curious if you would remember. Steve took us on a tour. I learned quite a few things about my mother, her siblings and those married in......what an eye opener!!!! lol!!! If you guys would let us know where you think we were, I'll post some pics from where we were and let you know :)
Of course, you have the women with their little canning assembly line that worked out really well. They canned 82 pints/quarts (not sure which one, I just know it was 82 jars)!! You can see where we had the pot located. I think there were quite a few of us who took turns stirring the pot (literally and figuratively) lol. I was amazed to find out that you are to put pennies in the pot to keep the apple butter from sticking to the bottom and to keep the bottom polished. Someone didn't count the pennies (Rita) before they were thrown in so hopefully no one will find money in their apple butter, or maybe that would be a good thing :)
Steve took the kids (small and big) on several hay rides. Clara, Brooks and Marleigh enjoyed themselves as they "fished" in the pool with their cornstalks. Jacob found a turtle in the woods and brought it back. Clara and Marleigh thought his shell needed a make over and since they had sidewalk chalk.........
Love to all :)
