It was 17 years ago that I had cervical cancer and 10 years ago that I had breast cancer.
Kenneth W. Hagin (Jr.) was at our church a couple of weeks ago for a crusade, and he was speaking on his father's (Kenneth E. Hagin) favorite scriptures (Mark 11:23-24): "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
He told about living in Port Arthur, TX, when he was young. He remembers that a relative called his Mom and Dad to tell them about their baby being born in the hospital in Houston. He said that doctors didn't expect the baby to live and they wouldn't permit the parents to see the baby because its face was so deformed. He said that when his father got the word, he told them via telephone: "That baby will be fine!" He said that his parents then got dressed, went to the hospital in Houston and when they got there, the doctors told them they could see the baby and that it was fine! The doctors said they stood by while the baby's head "exploded" and its facial features became normal. And he is still alive today.
His father said that there are times when you just need to believe and speak. Jr. said that you need to Keep Saying It Until You See It and Do Not Get Separated From the Statement That You Make.
I personally do not believe that God wants any of his children to be sick, and Jesus took stripes on his back and purchased our healing just as he purchased our salvation.
As I was praying this morning, God told me: Do not listen to the negative. Say only what I say because with your words you create your world just as I created My world with My words.
Julie, I bet you can weigh in with your testimony! And others of you out there also.
