Hi Everyone, We saw the Dr. today and she said the surgery was healing well. We told her about the nausea and not being able to sleep and she prescribed some sleep medicine and said that she would hold off on the full treatment of chemo until the nausea was under control a little better.
The full treatment of chemo will consist of two drugs, Taxol (Paclitaxel or Onxal, Generic name and other trade name) and Carboplatin. The Carboplatin is what they gave her on the first treatment and that is what they gave her today due to the nausea. The Dr. said they would wait to give the full treatment until Alice is feeling a little better.Out next treatment is March 28, please keep us in your prayers

Cinnamon Roll Cake
Found this recipe on Pinterest. For all of you guys that hate to make cinnamon rolls because they take so much time, this sounds great! Although, if butter and sugar are an issue, you might not wanna try it!
Cake:
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp.salt
1 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. milk
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter, melted
Topping:
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Mix everything together except for the butter. Slowly stir in the melted butter and pour into a greased 9x13 pan. For the topping, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Drop evenly over the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 for 28-32 minutes.
Glaze:
2 c. powdered sugar
5 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
While warm drizzle the glaze over the cake.

Addy will be praying for Paul's friend. Praise God he was right there at the hospital when he collapsed and got immediate help.We continue to lift you all up in prayer daily. I just want to say how thankful I am to have a great family. I feel so close to you all when I think of each of you and pray. When I think of family it is always mom's side. We are not in touch with my dad's at all.They never were a close bunch. I would like to ask you all to pray for my husband's salvation.I know God has a plan for his life and that it not be wasted. He has many hurdles to face and only God can see him through. I would also ask for prayer that I can stay strong in the Lord when the enemy seeks to destroy my family.Love you all.

Hey Everybody,
I will try to write more later but for now I have a prayer request. One of Paul's close friends, Wayne Terry, had gallbladder surgery last week and collapsed in the parking lot when he was leaving the hospital. He had a massive heart attack and they flew him to Roanoke. Paul went to see him this evening and he is having triple bypass tomorrow morning. They determined that it was a pre-existing condition and did not result as blood clots from his gallbladder surgery. He is pretty upset and has never had anything like this before so please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Hey everyone~ hope all is well. I loved the video of Marleigh singing in church, she is just the cutest. Daniel, Alice, Trish and Danny you are all in our prayers.
I wanted to let everyone know that we will be having our family Easter get together on Sat. the 7th at 1:00 for all of you that can come. Bring a dish and your favorite drink as always. I will also be having Kimberly a baby shower at that time since we will all be together. She is supposed to register at Walmart and Target and she is doing the babies room in Classic Pooh. I can't wait to see everyone. Love you all

Marleigh sang for the first time on stage at church tonight!! I am so proud of her :) She didn't seem a bit bashful about it either. She sang with Cassie, Abby and Shawn. They sang Jesus Loves Me then you will see that Marleigh wanted to sing about Zacheus (?)!! Trish and Danny, we continue to pray for you and you will be in our thoughts and prayers tomorrow. Daniel, how is Alice doing?

The following letter was in our newpaper this morning, and it made me smile. I thought it might do the same for you.
Dear Annie: I had to smile at the letter from "Road Worrier." When we started to get calls that our 92-year-old father was driving through stop signs and red lights and running into cars in the parking lot, we gave his car keys to his caregiver and said she'd take him where he needed to go.
When he died, I sent his suit to the funeral home. I later got a call saying they found a car key in the pocket. Later, we spoke to Dad's neighbor, who said when the caregiver would go to church on Sundays, my father would come out of the house five minutes later, put his walker in the backseat of the car and drive off. He'd return 15 minutes before the caregiver came back.
We don't know where he went for those four hours, but we're glad nothing happened to him or anyone else. When they started to close his coffin, I put that key back in his pocket and told him, "OK, Dad, now you can drive Mama all over heaven." — L.A.

We are at Amy's. Went to Cleveland clinic today for a second opinion . They said the same thing that UVA did. Chemo first. They also offer a clinical trial for a sarcoma vaccine which he could take part in but not until after he had surgery and it would be 84 weeks long. And of course it would be in Cleveland. Will go to UVA Thursday.
