Here are a few pics...One of Mommy and her PT, Marty. One of her sitting on the porch, laughing really hard, one of Blain's family...minus his sister Cindy and her family, and one of mine. Mommy has had loads of company this morning and she just showed herself. Her nurse, Missy and Marty, her PT, were here at the same time. She was talking real good this morning and laughing. Missy was getting ready to draw blood and she asked her if she was ready. Mommy replied with "Ready or Not!" She was feeling her oats! Yesterday evening, she sat on the porch and laughed for an hour! She slept really good last night, only getting up at 3:30 to pee and then she slept in until 7:00!! We have started her on Restoril every night and 30mg seems to be working.
Vonda, I can't hold anymore, I feel every bit of 50!!! I've never felt my age before, but this year is different, I definitely do!

Trish, that was a real tear jerker. We're praying for Jacob. You may want to try Melatonin to help Grandma to sleep; it works in about 20 minutes. You can purchase it over the counter. That is what the doctors on base are telling those who can't sleep right now. It works well.
Amy, the babies are adorable. Hope you are sleeping well!
Addy, your chairs are gorgeous. I'm jealous!
Thanks for all who said they were praying for Joe. He's doing well enough. Safe for now.

Hey Steve, Good name for a song! Workin' on a buildin' for my Lord, for my Lord! Where is this building?
Jacob is STILL in pain, not where the incision is BUT where his appendix used to be! He vomited this morning, so I am not sure if the antibiotics are making him sick or what.
David and Susan came by with Miss Emma last night for a while and he did manage to perk up for that. Emma wasn't too fond of his staples in his gut though.

Just to fill you all in. Mommy had what seems to be another seizure today. We are pretty sure that it is caused from the previous strokes and they don't seem to leave lasting symptoms. We did a urine culture on her today and we are having the home health nurse to draw blood to check for a UTI and her electrolytes. Won't get the results for a couple days. She seems to be back to her old self and is eating supper right now. Yesterday, I cooked her fresh out of the garden, squash, cabbage, and beans. She ate them and I didn't puree them. She ate really good, it just takes her a while. Then for supper, she didn't seem to know what to do with the food and I pureed it but still had a time getting it down her. It just depends on if she is tired or whatever. Gotta run and go buy groceries so I will check in tomorrow. Trish, you can probably add to this and clear up stuff. Trish is much more knowledgable about these things than I am. If you got any questions, address them to Trish. I would probably like to know the answer too!!

Hey Everybody,

It's been a while since I've posted anything, it's been a very busy summer. Just wanted to take some time and catch up with everybody!

Congratulations Amy, Greg, and Clara! Brooks sure is a handsome fella!

Happy Birthday Timmy! I saw your pictures on facebook and it looks like you guys had a great time! So happy for you!

Monica and Mark, recognize that table? Looks a little different from the last time you saw it! It took a little bit of TLC but I think it turned out great. I love it! I got the chairs from a thrift store and got a great deal, slapped a little paint on 'em and some new fabric. I got a before picture of the chairs but not the table, I just wasn't thinking about it.

This evening was the first time we ate at our new table. We had turkey, mashed taters, green beans, noodles, gravy, and biscuits. Paul's dad and one of his friends came over to do some work in the garage. So since we were eating, they were too!

Monica had asked about Ladybird and, well, this is about all the dogs do. I'm not sure if they're just lazy or if it's the heat. If we leave the house for a few hours it seems like she grows a few inches by the time we get back.

Yesterday I went to Mom's and hung out with Grandma. She sure was full of herself! She looked at me at one point when we were supposed to be taking a nap on the couch and said "Do you not know what to do with yourself?" and then started laughing! But she ate like a horse while we watched love stories on TV most of the day.

Thanks again for the table Mark, Paul will make you some lasagna next time you come up!
Hope to catch up with everybody again, sooner than later next time hopefully!

Happy Birthday Timmy, How does It Feel to be 52???

Jacob didn't have a very good nignt. Fever up to 102 last night and he started vomiting. I called the doctor and he said watch out for pneumonia. So we are just hanging out and watching the thermometer.

Happy Birthday Timmy. Hope its a good one. So how old are you? 23?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIMMY!

So Jacob started feeling sick friday evening, then by saturday morning he was having pain in his rt. lower quadrant. The day just got worse and we ended up in the ER at 6 was in surgery by 9, out by 10 and in his room by 11. We made it home by noon today and he is in quite a bit of pain. But no more nausea or vomiting!

Not sure if any of you know but Gloria Treadway is in the hospital in Charleston Memorial phone 3043885432 room 524. She had a stroke last monday. Her left side is affected. They are walking her with a walker and she is improving some but her left side is numb from her head down. She is starting to get some feeling back in her face. They told her that she lost bloodflow due to plaque breaking off and occluding the vessels. I talked to her and she is having quite an emotional time. She asked that we all remember her in prayer as well as Goldie. Her speech has returned but she said when she gets tired she begins to lose that too.

She asked about Mommy and everyone and said she thinks about us often and loves the family.

Wow!!!!! Jacob, when you do it , you do it up right, Don't you LOL, Get well soon buddy.
