Danny, Trish and Family: Keep saying what God says. Faith comes by hearing. So you want your faith to be in what God says, not in what Satan says (the negative). If you slip up and say the negative, ask God to forgive you and go right back to confessing His Word. If your confession sounds hollow at first, do not worry. Keep doing it because the more your ears hear you say God's Word, the more your faith rises up. And the greater your faith, the stronger your confession. It is a circle that keeps spiraling upward. I have been getting words about faith and confession from many different sources lately, so I know God is trying to impress upon me the importance of our words. I am convinced that they are the most powerful things in the universe. After all, that is how God created everything he created - by speaking. And that is how, I believe, that we create our world.
It may be a fact that Danny has cancer, but it is not THE TRUTH. God's Word is the TRUTH, and TRUTH trumps fact.
I have been fasting for three days, and was supposed to go off this morning, but I will be fasting and praying throughout the day today, and you will be in my prayers. I just got an e-mail that David and Julie are fasting and praying also.
I love all of you.

Well we didn't get a good report today. He has a new tumor in his left lung which is opposite where he had surgery. He said it is very aggressive and is already an inch and a half big. Not sure the plan yet. He goes next week for a PET scan and see the surgeon. The oncologist is leaning more towards chemo first and see if it responds. It will be a different kind of chemo this time.
Continue to remember him in prayer.

Today is such a beautiful day!!! It's 41 degrees, no wind and the sun is shining everywhere. We had a ball with Marleigh and her sledding. She loved it!!! Teresa, I love your decorations. Your little grand baby is going to love his "grandma in the mountains" and all her holiday festiveness. The boys used to call Grandma Vivian "grandma in the mountains":P Trish, that is a good pic of you and Danny, I love it :) Janet....who were you giving down the road in your picture????
Snow
Boy that was some beautiful snow! It has been wet here in MI. Just wanted to check in with everyone. Alice I hope you are having more good days than bad. We are praying for you and Danny that God continues to hold you in His healing hands. Dad is doing pretty good but he misses his roommate Larry a lot. We are doing okay. Vonda is learning to play the clarinet and Vesta is taking swim lessons for now. I am just working and trying to stay afloat. We miss you all and wish we were closer to everyone. I hope you all feel the good Lord's blessings today.

Yeah!!!!!!!!!!! We finally got snow!!!!!!!!!! It has been such a beautiful day today watching the snow fall all day. It started around 10 this morning and still going at it. It's not as heavy as earlier. I think the biggest part of it fell while Marleigh was napping today. When she got up we went to Nina and Pawpaw's for spaghetti so we haven't had a chance to go sledding yet. I'm hoping it will hang around long enough so we can go in the morning. Adam said there were spin outs all over the place on his way home this evening. He made it safely home though :) Mom and Dad made it home safe as well. They went to TN for the weekend. I think they brought the snow in with them this morning. They said it was 67 degrees and people were everywhere down there and enjoying all the amusement rides. I would like to be on an amusement ride right now....the bob-sled LOL!!!! Teresa, I loved the pics that Kelsey had done. They are beautiful :) Daniel, how is Alice doing? Danny, sorry we couldn't make it yesterday. I know you had a good time though. Post some pics :) I expect to see some pics of winter weather from others. Love to all

Those of you that can make it on Saturday for their birthday celebration it is 2-4 at our church. If you could let me know for sure if you are coming so I have somewhat of a head count:) thanks and love to all. Oh by the way, when Dannys hair started falling out he was all for buzzing it but he didn't have that much to begin with! Alice you go for that wig! With some of the temps we have been having you will need all the help you can get staying warm. That's the big thing that changed with Danny since his illness. He sits around with a blanket and complains of freezing all the time.
I know I haven't posted in a while, but I do read daily! Happy Birthday Jacob! No matter how old you are, you're still the youngest in your family. (That's what I keep telling myself!)
Alice, sorry to hear about the sickness but we are continuing to pray for you, and Danny as well. Maybe you guys can go wig shopping together! I bet Danny has some great tips for you Alice!
We miss you all! Love, Addy and Paul

Update on Alice
The surgery went well, the Dr. said that she got all of the cancer she could find. The chemo treatment will take care of anything that is left. The chemo makes her sick but so far she is doing pretty good. Her next treatment is March 7. She is supposed to have 6 to 10 treatments, depending on how well it works. We are going to look for a wig pretty soon, they said she will loose her hair by the second treatment, but all and all she is hanging in there. The nausea and dry heaves seem to be the worst. Please keep us in your prayers.

OK, I knew either Goldie or Carol would give us the rest of the story. You all know, if you still have questions you want answered about the Treadway family, you'd better get them before Goldie and Carol go to Heaven!! I don't know who else we will ask!! Goldie and Carol...ya'll don't have to be in no hurry now! There's Joy too. She could probably shed some light on things. It's a good thing to know that Mary and Eliza Stover were not kin, even though they lived in the same community :)
I went to the Osborne Funeral today, as did, Teresa and Steve, Marcia and Lonnie, and the entire Crag Community. The place was full...I saw alot of Mommy and Daddy's Neighbors. It was so sad. Three Coffins in a row...all alike...with a flower arrangement on each. Norman Fleshman did the service and their cousin prayed. You DID feel a sense of Community in the room.
Hey,
No the lady was not Grandma Treadway's sisters daughter.Aunt Ollie was married to school teacher named Grafton Williams and they didn,t have any children.
Proably this lady,s mother was a Stover from up the river. You know both great grandmothers were Stovers. they said they were no relation.Great grandma Treadway was Mary Stover and Great grandma Buzzard was Eliza Stover...They proably are related, but you know how we people are..haha
It was awful to hear about the Osbornes. I didn't know Lacy's people, but when the obit was posted..I did know his two brothers... Laton and Melvin were both members of the VFW..
Take care and PRAY for us..
Love Goldie

Obit
I believe this was Daddy's first Cousin?? Wasn't Ollie Grandma Treadway's sister? I wonder if Daddy was named after her husband? Just wondering?
I'm planning to go to the Osborne's funeral. They have opened our road that was blocked last night.

Jeff Briant actually found them Rita. I remember him saying that he didn't show up for work though. After they couldn't raise them on the phone, he started calling some of the neighbors and Jeff finally went to check on them Tuesday afternoon. Him and his wife were still up there when I went up after work. Jeff said that Danny had been to there house to watch the Superbowl. When he found them Danny still had the same clothes and coat on that he had when he left his house. Probably came home right in the middle of it all. Very Sad. :(
