Please say a prayer for Randy, Paul's dad. He had a heart catherization today and they put in 2 stents in the same place. There was over an 80% blockage and it was really long. The doctor said he was really close to a heart attack. Yesterday he had x-rays and they found a spot on his lungs so he has to stay overnight for more tests tomorrow.
Well, I'm sure you guys remember me talking about my friend in Brazil. She has recently moved to Germany to complete her Ph.D.! She is living in Aachen, bordering the Netherlands where her sister is living 40 minutes away for the next 6 months. Michelle, she was wondering where you are and your address so she can send you a postcard! She very much considers my family her own! Janet's sister-in-law is moving to Brazil because her husband had a job offer in the mines. They will only be a couple states away from where Larissa's family is. So Janet, tell them Larissa said Santa Catarina is a wonderful and beautiful place with amazing beaches and landscapes! I just think about "6 degrees of separation!" It's neat to be so in touch with people halfway around the world!
Love,
Addy

Checking in

Tarin, I LOVED your dress! You can't go wrong with red, I guess that's why my prom and wedding dresses were both red! I just found out that my friend Larissa, from Brazil, has moved to Germany for her Ph.D.! I have no idea what part of Germany, still working on that. That girl is all over the place.
Well after 3 years I'm finally finished with the program I started for teaching! The director of the program threw a big party at the Tamarack for our celebration. It was so nice! The food was amazing and the company was even better. We started out with 24 in the program and finished with 12, I think! I had to build an e-portfolio as one of my last assignments and have been working on it for quite some time, so here's the link to check it out! You have to look at my pictures though! I have an intramural team called the "Gwinn Gangstaz" and they made shirts! They're so cute!

We have Mommy's bed and daddy's chair in the living room and I wasn't so sure how much we would use them but from the way he looks and is moving they are a godsend! Just one of many. Tonight we are thanking him for a good nights sleep. I can't sleep cause my muscles are hurting so I went strolling around the unit and there is absolutely nothing happening. So I thought I would blog. I will tell you now, if you come to visit bring your winter parkas. He has the air so low I swear I saw snow flying.
Monica you are right about the kids. They enforce it too, which is good I guess. There are a lot of sick sick people here. People dont come here for your average bug! To send him a card or drop a note you can send snail mail or email. They print it out and bring it to him! Pretty neat. I will post the address after I look it up. Tell miss Marleigh she can come visit after we get home but in the mean time keep the videos and pictures coming. I show him the blog and facebook everyday.
Tanner has an athletic banquet and academic awards this week. I am trying to get someone to set it up with a web cam so we can be there and not really be there, keep your fingers crossed. Jacob has his first formal dance at school tonight so I told him Anita would stop and get him new dress clothes. He thought he would just wear good jeans and a button up flannel shirt! Of course everything happens when you get sick. You guys have a good night.

Lonnie and Marcia came down and stayed yesterday until it was all over. Thanks for all the prayers. Our pastor and wife came down today as well as Chad Rodes, emma's dad. Will blog later when I know more!
May recovery come to Danny quickly because the Lord is there to restore healing.
May the Lord renew Danny's strength in record time. May you continue to maintain courageous Faith in our God because He sees the ending from the beginning, therefore, we can Rest in Him who loves us dearly.
Also wanted to ask how you are doing Trisha? You come to my mind often.
I send love and prayers to you and yours as always, little sister of mine.
Julie
Last year at this time we were praying for Lonnie, and look at him now. Back to work as usual! And he has a good testimony of God's goodness to him! This spring we're praying for Danny and I expect a miracle in whatever form it comes. God is faithful to do what He says He will do! He didn't take those stripes for nothing!!! He was thinking of you Dan! Praise the Lord!
Micah 4:5 (NIV) says "All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever." And we know that that name is a strong tower! Nothing can breach it. Someone recently ask me if we relied too much on Momma praying for us. I think I told that person I didn't think so. Momma went through out her days and years a "walk'in in Jesus Name" and I think we all took notice. And just like a child will "pick up" ways from their parents, we have all learned to pray! We know it works and changes things! So tell Dan to get his testimony ready. I can't wait to hear it!

update on Danny
Treasures On The Other Side.
TREASURES ON THE OTHER SIDE
This is the first two lines we used to sing as I remember it, in parenthesis!
Who knows, that might be Mom's personal addition to the song. But then, my memory sure isn't what it used to be...Love you guys, Timmy
(I'm going on a journey with the lord right
by my side.
I know that he'll be with me, and it's there I will abide.)
This is the copywrited version that I found..
1. I am but a pilgrim stranger as I travel here below,
A citizen of Heaven, I am happy as I go;
The world may think me poor and pass me by with scornful pride,
But they don't know I've treasures on the other side.
Chorus:
On the other side, treasures there have I,
Treasures that this world and all it's wealth could never buy;
So, when I reach that city, and the gates swing open wide,
I'll find my treasures waiting on the other side.
2. Some may have their houses, some their land and gold,
But in the Bank of Heaven, I have wealth that can’t be told.
The moth and rust cannot decay and thieves can ne’er abide,
My treasures are all safe upon the other side.
3. You ask me why I’m happy of things of which I boast,
I’ve said goodbye to all the world and things that charm me most;
I’ve had a vision of my Lord, who for me bled and died,
He’s the greatest treasure on the other side!Top

Loved the video of Marleigh, she is so cute.
Tarin we loved your prom dress.
Addy I am loving those pictures. I have found Gracie in similar predicaments, looking very innocent. Danny enjoyed that picture AND the video of Marleigh. I dont think she could be a baptist, we have never had a choir practice like that!
I will post tomorrow when I know stuff. I think they will call out periodically.
By the way Janet, Greg cooked supper, I just invited them:).
Love to all

Well, I've been trying to work outside with the dogs a little more with their training and they're doing exceptionally well. However, Ladybird doesn't understand sharing and taking turns. She did not like it when I took Bandit outside. She was trying to see out the window, and I'm surprised she didn't go through it! She only managed to rip one of the blinds off and tear the other one up, and turn the papason chair over! I guess that's what I get for having a small horse in the house.
We all have to just stand on the word. It never fails. The Bible says that God watches over his word to perform it. We just have to believe it!
If nothing happens, we will probably go to Amy's this evening to see Trish and Dan. (Trish invited us to supper this evening.)
"God Will Make A Way" By Janet Paschal (Music Video 1997)
This song has been running through my mind ever since surgery. Yesterday at church David Hutsenpiller sang it. God is amazing!
She wrote this song after she found out she had breast cancer.
Praise His Name !!! By Jeff And Sheri Easter - With on Screen Lyrics
Monica, I had forgotten about this song. I sing it at our church too.
Did she sing this song after she had breast cancer?
Oh Monica!!! That was sooo good of Marleigh and your Choir sounds GREAT!!! The next time you practice, video the Choir and post us another song and don't forget the Praise and Worship team down front!! That was the first thing I looked at when I got up this morning and it made my day. Bobbie came to church Saturday night after visiting for the day with Trish and Danny AND I told everybody that she would be going home after church. Well, At Sunday School, all kinds of people asked me if she made it home okay and did she run into much rain and on and on. I told them that I didn't know because she doesn't call back when she gets home. They looked at me as if to say, "I can't believe you could go on to sleep not knowing if she made it home!" I told them that she calls her husband when she leaves and he knows what time to expect her. I also told them that "I would worry about her if she didn't have so much faith."
Ya'll have a Blessed Day now, ya here?

This was Marleigh tonight during choir practice :P People keep saying that our choir director is going to have some competition in a few years LOL!! Michelle, those are beautiful pictures of Tarin. She reminds me of her mother and grandmother :) Our Sunday School lesson was on Esther this morning as well, how neat. While we were discussing the search for the most beautiful women of the land and their beauty treatments that lasted a year I told the class I believe that was the first beauty pageant :) Vonda, David, Trish and Danny, these are wonderful scriptures that everyone has been posting. The Lord also says that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. I'm sure it is hard but don't give up, Praise His name. Mom sings a song called Praise His name (I believe) but I can't remember who it's by. Hey mom, who's it by? Maybe I can find it and post it. Love to all!!!

update on danny
We went to UVA on Thursday and the last 2 days have been a whirlwind. We got there at 10am and saw 4 doctors, only stopped long enough to get a diet coke and catch our breath. We didn't get out of there til 4pm. They all agree he should have a radical chest resection which is very involved. It will require the cardiothorasic surgeon as well as the plastic surgeon. They will be removing his chest muscle and taking possible the collar bone and some ribs, then move the muscle from his back to his chest and take a skin graft from his thigh to replace over his chest. They expect it to take about 6-7 hours. The Mayo clinic can't see us until the 26th of May and that just seems to long to wait. The Cleveland Clinic is going to see us on Tuesday and if they are in agreement with UVA, we will go to UVA on Wednesday and have surgery on Thursday. We got an awful lot of information in the last couple days, but we are still expecting miracles. I see no reason why when they open him up and start testing margins that they find no cancer cells! That is our prayer right now and we are believing, so I am asking you guys to help us with that prayer. As Mommy would say "all things are possible with Jesus:)"
Will keep you updated as we know more. Best thing about going to the Cleveland Clinic is we get to visit with The Hocevars;)
Love to all,
Trish and Danny

Senior Center
It was entertainment night at the Senior Citizens Center .
Claude the hypnotist explained: "I'm here to put you into a trance;
I intend to hypnotize each and every member of the audience."
The excitement was almost electric as Claude withdrew a beautiful antique pocket watch from his coat.
"I want each of you to keep your eyes on this antique watch. It's a very special watch.
It's been in my family for six generations."
He began to swing the watch gently back and forth while quietly chanting,
"Watch the watch, watch the watch, watch the watch..."
The crowd became mesmerized as the watch swayed back and forth, light gleaming off its polished surface.
A hundred pairs of eyes followed the swaying watch until, suddenly,
the chain broke; it slipped from the hypnotist's fingers and fell to the floor, breaking into a hundred pieces.
"CRAP!" said the hypnotist.
It took three days to clean up the Senior Citizens Center .
Claude was never invited again.

New Message
Thank you for using Picture and Video Messaging by U.S. Cellular. See www.uscellular.com for info.
Most of all the other beautiful things in life come by twos and threes, by dozens and hundreds. Plenty of roses, stars, sunsets, rainbows, brothers and sisters, aunts and cousins, but only one Mother in the whole world . . .
I trust everyone had a good Mother's day. I know, it's bittersweet. When I look around in our family, I see a lot of great Moms. So let's not beat ourselves up OK. We must have done something right! Momma was the best example wasn't she? She truly loved her kids and grandkids and she was not ashamed to show them. I regret now that I didn't pay more attention to those little things she did. She always put the other first and she always did things wholeheartedly. I fall so short when I step up beside her. I miss her today! Blessing to all of you
