Emma and Clara were looking out of Rita's door when cows started going by. Clara started mooing and then Emma laughed and they were cackling by the time they finished. I think Mommy was trying to figure out what they were laughing at.

 

Tanner is number 51! Number 73 was his man for the night! He was quite the chunk!

We won 42 10 tanner played an awesome game. The guy he played all night was
246 pounds! So we get to play next week too!

Yep! Tanner has the first round playoff game tonight! He didn't sleep a bit last night because he was so worried and nervous about tonights game. Its at Greenbrier East because West is under construction and doesn't have enough seating. It will be at 730!

Mornin All
Mommy slept good last night and is still asleep. She ate breakfast yesterday morning pretty good and then slept all day. We tried to wake her around noon and feed her but we couldn't get her awake enough. When she woke around 3, we tried to give her some hot chocolate (aka Ensure). For Supper I tried Broccolli and Cheese soup (which she usually likes) but she wouldn't have that either. Finally, I pureed a banana with mandarin oranges and tried to give her meds with that, but she vomited it all up. So she didn't get her antibiotic, her laxative, her heart pills...I gave her a Zofran for Nausea and waited a while, and then she was able to get some of the fruit down. She woke up last night and drank nearly a cup of water, which is good. Ya'll pray for a better day today.

Am I right that Tanner has a playoff game tomorrow?  Do they have home field advantage?  I am actually rooting for you this time, Tanner:)  I would wish you luck, but the way you guys have been playing, I don't think you need it.  Love ya! 

Rita, so glad you are back on line!!!!! We missed you and your colorful reports. Was good to hear that Mommy ate well today. Have a wonderful time in Pigeon Forge Rita and Blaine. You both deserve it. Just relax and eat all the stuff that makes you fat. You can always diet later!!

Since I have been off the blog, it has gone to the dogs :)

Mommy is having a good morning. She ate almost all of her breakfast (grits, an egg and I added a little cream for calories!) and all of her meds. She seems to be more herself and is more alert and awake. She IS napping right now. She isn't voiding much, but we give her all the water she can stand, short of drowning her. The Cipro that she is taking dehydrates her somewhat...I'll try to get a picture of her soon.

I hear, through the grapevine, that Cindy and Timmy are getting married. Anything to that? Have you set a date?

Addy is having gall bladder surgery on Nov. 23rd. Ya'll remember her in prayer. It has been a miserable couple of months for her. Not to mention she has had the crud on top of all that.

Blain and I are planning to go to Pigeon Forge TN the week of Thanksgiving. Our kids are sending us for Christmas! Bobbie and Ruth will be staying with Mommy while we are gone. Talk to ya'll later

I'm baaack! It was only a power cord so it only cost me $21 instead of $165. Mommy is napping right now. Waiting on her to wake up so we can go to work on lunch. Pinto beans, Yea! Hey, it's protein. Sally is working today because Teresa is under the weather. We thought she needed a day to rest. Mommy doesn't seem to be in any pain or distress. She was laughing at me this morning and she was smiling at Sally. You can usually tell when she is hurting by the look on her face. I DID miss the internet. We had to go back to the old fashion way of communicating, we had to CALL each other. O my word!

Talked to Rita yesterday and this morning. Her computer is still down.

Mommy has a urinary tract infection and they got her antibiotics yesterday and began giving them to her. It is so difficult to tell if she is sick from an illness or is just declining due to general health and age since she cannot tell you. She is getting weaker, thinner and does not walk as well. She had begun throwing up her food and medicines, probably due to the UTI. We hope to see some improvement with the antibiotics if they can get them down her. It took them two and one-half hours to get her breakfast and medicine down this morning.

I've had the crud for the past two weeks and haven't been to work since last Thursday, so we've kind of been taking it easy to say the least. I keep telling Paul that Ladybird is too big to carry! haha, but he insists!

Go look out your closest window...  All that light that looks like a UFO- don't worry, it is just our Christmas lights.  Our neighbors are going to have us evicted:(  Matthew may have gotten a little carried away! 

Teresa, why doesn't Kaiden like you anyway?  He told me about all the people that he did like ont eh way home, but every few names, he would say, "but not Teresa" and grin:)   Did you do the unthinkable and take his tractor or something? 

I guess that is always a possibility...the insurance not paying that is. The Cleveland Clinic doctors have used it many times for this though so hopefully they can use that to persuade them...If not I guess it will be prednisone and CellCept:(

Trish, is it possible that the insurance will not pay for the chemo since it has not been approved for treating your disease?

I will get the chemo at my hosp at Greenbrier Valley, but I am still waiting on the insurance so don't know when the first dose will be yet.

Janet your halloween kids and your christmas tree are cute! I bet I don't get to say that sentence to many people!

Julie, I will be getting chemo IV at the hospital. It is a once dose treatment and then 2 weeks later I will get a second dose. It stays in your system for 6 months so I couldn't get another treatment for 6 months. They won't know for 2 or 3 months whether it will work or not after I have it. No my hair won't fall out, the side effects are lowering my immunity even lower than it is so that I am at risk for infections. They don't seem to know what triggers an autoimmune disease, its just one of those things that happens.

Tanner and his team won last night against Fayetteville, making it a perfect regular season! Their first playoff game is 2 weeks from now but they won't know who it'll be against til next Sunday.

Wow, everyone is busy busy!
I love the pictures everyone posts! I think back when we first started the blog and it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to post! You've come a long way BABY! Now all my little bloggers have grown up and had their own little bloggers, or should I say boogers! LOL Greg, they make wipes for those dirty little faces and fingers! You can't experience and learn without getting a little messy! Right Janet? I am sure you teach that to your little ones! If you come to TT's house you are gonna get messy...but we clean up pretty good.
Looks like Mommy is having a great time with her family. Rita looks like you are doing a great job keeping the doors swinging in your house. Almost like a bed and breakfast. She looks so happy, I am sure Daddy is at peace knowing she is well cared for and enjoying her babies!
I went back to the Cleveland Clinic last week and I will be starting chemotherapy as soon as my insurance gets on board with it. Apparently there is a drug that will kill the cells that cause my disease. Although it isn't FDA approved for my disease they have had success with treating it this way at Cleveland, so....then when I went to my doctor this week my blood pressure was way up and she started me on a blood pressure pill, Bystolic, and I was retaining fluid because of the prednisone so she started me on lasix. I have a sinus infection on top of all that and they did a CT scan of my lungs because my disease seems to originate there and I haven't heard from it yet to see if its worse or anything different.
My Calcium level was elevated too and I am not sure whats up with thatbut when I went back to have it rechecked it had come down to the border line...
Tanner was interviewed this week by the tv station this week as an academic sports student. They aired it on TV that same evening and we didn't know it so we didn't see it! He plays his last game of the regular season Friday night at Fayetteville and hopefully they will be 10 and 0 at the end of their season!
Jacob plays his last game tomorrow night and he seems to be doing well at the Middle school, in the beginning I had my doubts. He has only visited the principal a "few" times which is better than "many" times. LOL HIs grades are good so I guess if he is on a first name basis with the principal thats OK.
Gotta run for now...but keep blogging, even if I don't get time to post I always have time to read!

So a friend of greg's mom embroidered this for Brooks. Unfortunately she spelled Halloween wrong and no one had the heart to tell her. I took some pictures to send her as part of our thank you note but I had to strategically hide the Halloween so she wouldn't discover her mistake!

Mom will you please call Tootie and talk to her tomorrow after school. She went to mentoring tonight and was so excited to tell you about it. She forgot you weren't here and then got big tears in her eyes and asked when you were coming back. She is really missing you. Things are fine here if that stupid Dr will get a nurse out here. I called again today and they said hopefully tomorrow. That is crazy because now 3 days have passed when they could have already treated it. Kiss Grandma for us and tell her we love her and we love you and miss you too.

Michelle, your wedding pictures are beautiful!! Congratulations on 11 years :) I didn't know that schnitzel was fried pork chops. I could deal with that and give me some Jimmy Dean sausage and sweet tea and I'd be set lol. With all that beer around do people stay intoxicated a lot or is it not a big deal? Is the legal drinking age lower than the U.S.? I remember when I took French class in school our teacher told us the legal age in France was 15. Trish, I loved the video. I sat here and cried, felt like Janet for a moment lol :P Clara and Brooks seem to be growing right along. Clara is walking so good. I loved the pictures from last night. Blain, I don't know what you or the dog were doing but Grandma seemed to be getting quite a kick out of it. I thought mom made good time coming home. I asked dad to text or call me when she got home. We were under a tornado watch as well till 3 am. It was muggy and humid last night when we went to bed around 1130 and the temp was 72. It was kinda odd outside. The Lord kept us safe. As far as I know there were no tornadoes around here. I heard it pouring rain a little after 4 this morning and it has rained some since we've been up. Looks like the sun is trying to come through though.

I'm home! It's 10:45pm. I told you it would be a great run. Coming off your mt. I had to go slow, more leaves have fallen because of the wind and they were wet and piling up of the road. About 9:20 it began to rain really hard and I was about to make the switch to 77. I had to pray really hard right there. It always makes me anxious there. Wouldn't you know it, not a car in sight! Just like the Lord! In the distance you could see it lightning. When I got off in Princeton, the road dried up and the moon began to shine. Only God could put on a weather show like that! There was no time to get sleepy. The Perry Sisters and I just made a run for the stateline and was home before the news came on! We had a quick but nice visit. The food was delicious and the fellowship was warm and I'm so glad I came. Love you guys! Trish I missed you.

Please pray for everyone involved. I work very closely at school with Amanda Wills. There are a total of 6 children in the family and they are very dear to my heart. They are all in foster care now. There are a number of problems with their homelife to say the least, but the children are incredible. Please keep them in your prayers. I see stuff like this on the news all the time but never expect to know the particular details of a case, or personally know someone capable of such crimes. It does, however, give me peace knowing that God has answered my prayers and the kids are being cared for by someone else now.

 

 

 

Here's a few pics we took this evening. Mommy had a good day today. She always does when she has company. She has really enjoyed having the babies this week. She is off of her blood pressure medicine completely and it is staying at a good level. She is alert more now which is what we were hoping for. Bobbie came for a short visit this evening. She came at around 5:30 and left around 9:00. We were a little worried about the weather but she didn't seem to be concerned at all.

Hey, Sorry we haven't posted yet but we have been busy settling in and we have also had company, (Georgie, Amy and Greg and babies and the HH nurse). We will post some pics this evening after dinner. Ruth is also under a watch for severe storms in OHIO. We have only had a little wind and it was 82 in Beckley just a little while ago. Greg and Amy, Sorry I took you through the ghetto...Did you see that cop pulling his gun as he was going into that house....

What doesn't kill you....

So you know where the day is headed when you come back from a errand and the home health aid is peeling out of the driveway because she ran screaming from the house :) AND we are under severe weather watch. They are even letting kids go home early due to the front coming in from Chicago. Mom give grandma lots of kisses from me and the family. Butter would have made you proud last night :) Things are good here. I am making dinners today for the next few days. Sooooo I know you ladies have access to the computer and still no posts or pictures

Mom just met up with Ruth and they are on their way to see Grandma. They are staying until Friday I think. The home health aid that came here to take care of dad is nice. Hello, everyone! Grandma you look beautiful and wonderful in your shoes! Monica, the food over here is not as wonderful as we had in Paris! It is heavy. They have a lot of potato dumplings called knodel, noodles called spatzle, beef marinated in vinegar and wine called saurbraten, and a lot of fried pork chops called schnitzel, not to mention all the sausages! Every state (Germany has 16) has its own sausage as well as every city in each state. And then there is the beer; there are thousands. Crazy! They drink all hours of the day, it is even allowed on some jobs. Hunting is expensive because the animal belongs to the state, so even though they love venison and rabbit, it is as much as 20 euro/$27 in restaurants. Insane. But the breads and cheeses are cheap, and amazing. And yes, I remember playing on those swings. I have a picture of you and I on them at Grandma and Grandpa's when we were about 5. And yes, my girls have tons of hair!! Love to all of you!

Today, Joe and I have been married 11 wonderful years. I wanted to share pictures with you.

I posted a video from our football season so far. It was senior night and it was cooooollllldddd. But the boys had an awesome night of football. They put a wallop on Midland Trail 61 to 13 and that was with the JV team in most of the night. We grilled hamburgers after the game for the guys and cheerleaders and parents and anyone else staying after. Shawn lit the grill and he and Danny started the bon fire in the 4th quarter. The smoke took over the field, it was soooo cool. When the officials came through the line for their burger I asked them if it was considered interference! He just laughed and said no but it did make him turn his head and look! Thanks to Lonnie for letting us borrow his grill and thanks to Shawn for helping me cook them! We managed to cook 200 burgers in a little bit of time plus it kept us warm! We had a bon fire too for marshmallows...it was kind of sad knowing that was their last "home" game. We have one more regular season football game next week with Fayetteville then we are guaranteed one playoff game for sure. 9-0! Looks like our football season will make it til December!
