Michelle, I love the pics of the girls, and Joe too lol :p They look so much like you. Makes me reminiss of the days when we would play at Grandma's. They have your head full of hair as well. I seen that you don't get taco's that much over there, what are some of the usual or normal foods that you guys have? I know nothing about Germany. I took 3 years of French in school and I can barely remember the basics from that :( How often do you get to talk to Joe? He looks so small standing amongst the equipment in the desert. I'll be keeping all of you in my prayers. That goes for everyone else on the blog as well!! :)

Janet, I have not talked to mom this evening but I remembered the pictures from last year. Who could forget Christmas in October? lol I don't remember the saying about the black woolly worms but I saw one today in the road and that thought came to mind :p Since Emily has been listening to Christmas music for a couple months now, if she were to come over to your house for Halloween, yal could have a winter wonderland providing there is some kind of white stuff on the ground.

Monica, Did you talk to mom?  She was just making fun of me this evening when Olivia told her we were putting up our tree next weekend and she didn't believe her.  I think the nurse that was there thought we were off our rocker...atleast she saw the true side of us:)  As a matter of fact, I wouldn't want our trick-or-treaters to be disappointed.  They get in  the holiday spirit when they come to our house.  I hope to get it up next weekend.  A little snow would certainly set the mood.  I know, don't even say that right?  For those of you that have heard that saying about the black fuzzy caterpillar or something like that... our prek teacher found one today that was pitch black and really wooly.  She said that means "WINTER'S COMIN AND GOING TO STAY A WHILE."  Never heard that myself, but I am thinking SNOW DAYS!

What an adorable little lamb!  Tell Clara to bring her football gear on Thursday if she is coming to play with Kaiden.

I do agree with Janet, the little ones are growing up!! Janet, you need to post some pics of your kids. That goes for you too Addy, I miss the furry ones lol. Marleigh is taking steps if we hold her hands but still has no balance, so we wait :) As you can see she is going to be a lamb. She will be wearing this to the library next Tuesday, all the kids get to dress up that day. It's a 6-12 month but when we tried it on (to see how big it was) it barely fit length wise! Happy Birthday Teresa :) Rita, I think you could try the story on us (why Grandma is laughing). It might get us to laughing too :P Oh, while I'm thinking about it, Janet are you getting ready to put the Christmas tree up????????

Happy Happy Birthday Teresa, Hope you have a million more.Mommy it is great to see that smile again of yours. Trish what kind of report did you get from your appointment, at the clinic. Sure hope it was a good one , Brooks and Marleigh, sure look pretty in those pictures .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Teresa! Rumour has it that she is going to FOOD AND FRIENDS for dinner this evening. Kaiden asked her if she was older than dirt! It was soooo funny.

Well tonight we had a great family evening :) Marleigh got to play with her first pumpkin. It was nice at first, until she touched the guts. At that point she turned her head and started gagging. Thinking that maybe it was rotten on the inside, Mark and I smelled it and looked at it and it was fine. Apparently pumpkin guts gross her out lol!! I sat her on my lap as Mark finished and it turned out so cute and she seemed to enjoy it after that.

Those pictures of mommy and Marleigh are beautiful, looks like they are making the same face. laughing.

 

 

 

Gotta love that little sad face. Michelle, it sure is good to hear from you. I'm glad Joe is doing Okay. I know you all miss him. My goodness, your girls are growing up. Keep posting the pics.

 

 

 

 

Bobbie and Marleigh visited yesterday and we had a nice time. Marleigh is the best little thing...as long as Grandma is in the room! Mommy enjoyed watching her play in the room.

Everyone is invited revival this week at our church.  Sure to be a blessing.  David Cook is going to be ministering.  I haven't hear him speak, but have heard good things about him:) 

Michelle, your girls are getting all grown up ,and such pretty one's too. Just cant believe it , They grow up so fast.

Hello from Germany! We love you, Grandma! Monica, Marleigh is so cute in those pictures. Happy birthday to all the birthday gang. Tacos sound good. We don't get much Mexican over here. Joe is okay in Afghanastan. The girls are doing great and learning to speak some German. Steve, the pictures of the house have looked great. I wish I could post more often, but sometimes the page opens up in German and I can't navigate it. I tried to post pictures, hopefully they made it, or else someone else will be trying to figure out who are the strangers on their blog?!! Tchuss!~Bye for now.

Happy Birthday Ya'll. You all know how Ruth pinches pennies...I mean to get all their birthdays so close together so they only have to have one dinner for all of them!!! Now that's good.
Mommy is doing really good today. She has been awake alot and is now watching TV. We gave her a little stuffed bear that Evelyn brought her and she keeps throwing it in the floor.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Dan just left for court in Hartford, CT, and won't return until tomorrow evening, so it will just be Colin and me. We are going to celebrate all our birthdays on Friday with a taco dinner at home.

I can see that I am going to have to quit reading the blog at school.  I was checking it and reading what Trish wrote, started crying and everyone wondered what was up.  Grandma, love your hat, as will Kaiden.  Marleigh is getting more beautiful everyday.   

Olivia rode the school bus for the first time this morning.  Call me crazy and overprotective, but I followed the bus to school.  In my defense, she was a little hesitant and scared.

Feeling giddy before bath time

Hello to all :) I've been enjoying the posts and pics from everyone. We were a little busy last week on our days off so I wasn't able to blog any :( Looks like Grandma's visitors and OT are full of joy and happiness! Well, Marleigh isn't crawling yet but she is well on her way. She can do a push up like nobody's business LOL!! She is also supporting her weight but can't stand by herself or pull up to anything either. She calls for her da-da throughout the day and occasionally I'll hear her call for me :( Funny how that works. Tanner, I hope you are enjoying your football season as a senior this year. I like the pics. I saw Kenney Chesney's new video "The boys of fall" and I love it. I think of it every time Emily or Trish post your pics. I think I have watched more college football this year than I ever have. I like that too :)

This is Mommy's OT and Sally and the other one is Eveyln and Bobby
Simmons. They use to go to church with Mommy. They brought her the
flowers and the purple bear. I think Mommy had another stroke about a
month ago (the last weekend Ruth was here) and it is getting more
difficult for her to swallow. She can't use her tongue, it seems, so
she just swallows from the back of her throat. She doesn't open her
mouth for the food much now either. She has lost more weight, I
think, because she can't keep her teeth in at all. I try to put them
in everyday, but they just fall down.

Mommy's shoe has to be one with a crepe sole so it can be sliced and an insert put in. It needs to be a Nike or New Balance. I will take a few pair to Hank on Wednesday and let him pick the one he thinks will be best. Mommy did alot of laughing today at Steve. You can ask him what he was doing! She is watching Andy and Barney with me now.

Hello Mommy, I love the picture of you in the John Deere hat. Looks like you had a wonderful day to sit outside in the sunshine. I hope you are doing well today. I miss you and love you very much. Rita were you able to find the shoes you needed for Mommy? A podiatrist said shoes made by SAS offer excellent support, if you can find them there. Was Mommy able to enjoy Joe and Alice while they were visiting?

We are finally getting cooler weather here with some fall colors. Both are very welcome. Julie and I talked to the girls in Germany yesterday and they are doing well in school. This picture was of them touring a town near the German Alps taken before Joe went to Afghanistan.
