We surprised Blain's Mom and Dad with a 50th wedding Anniversary Celebration at their church today. We had them renew their vows. It would have been a complete surprise except that they drove by the church last night and saw our cars there. They knew something was up but just didn't know what. Blain and his two sisters went in and sat down right after worship service started and I think they thought that was the surprise...Well, ya'll know Blain...And then after worship service was over, he had the rest of the family (they were waiting in the fellowship hall) to come in and they were a little overwhelmed. They all came to the front of the church except me (I was taking the pic) Their grandaughters and great grandaughter sang at the end of the ceremony "I want to stroll over Heaven with You" accapella, and it was really special. All of Charlie's siblings came except one and she lives in Conn. 4 of June's siblings were there. We presented them with a mini vacation in Pigeon Forge, complete with a 2 night, 2 day stay at the Willow Brook Lodge, 2 day pass to Dollywood, and Dinner and a show at Dixie Stampede...as well as a little cash for expenses not covered. I think they will really enjoy that. It will be in Oct. so they can enjoy the leaves changing in the Smokies. It went off without a hitch (whatever that means). Plenty food and fellowship with their church family as well as their "families". Just thought I'd share. Thank You Steve and Teresa for staying with Mommy so we could take part.

Trish, The background looks a lottle familiar.  Are you in north or south?  Is that blue hotel in the back The Landmark?

We went and visited Grandma today on our way to the beach. Rita made chili, chips and cheese (aka nachos) for lunch. Greg said how good the beef was and can't wait to eat the white cow out back next time we come. Kaiden and Olivia did a good job keeping Clara occupied. Grandma was good - she didn't say much. She was holding Brooks when it was time to leave and I asked her if we should take him with us or leave him with her and she just game me the biggest smile! That look said more than words ever could...

We are at Myrtle Beach and it is definately a girls week. With the boys in football it is impossible for them to go anywhere. And of course they started school today. The temperatures are nice, not too hot not too cold, not crowded at all. We have had the twins at the beach and they definately attract the attention EVERYWHERE you go. We have umbrellas we sit under and they haven't been in the sun at all but they do enjoy the heat!

Georgia, Joy and Mary came to visit. I had gone to Beckley so I missed them. I wish they would have called to let me know they were coming. I would like to have seen Joy. Mommy is rousing so check in later

Marleigh is so o o o o cute! Love her blue eyes. Hope you find more water Steve. Today Julie and I celebrated 41 years together! Can you believe it? We just enjoyed each other's company and ran around some today.
Love you Mommy, hope you are feeling well.

Well Marleigh is now 6 months old (technically/literally ?), she was 24 weeks yesterday. I can not believe it!! It doesn't seem like its been that long. We went to another softball game last night. The weather was perfect :) Steve, it looks like you and Teresa are on your way to H2O. I couldn't believe how bright it was around the spring house, almost looks like a different place. Did he have to come through the pond to get to the spring house? Is Lonnie digging for you? Janet, loved the video :) I don't believe Olivia's mom needs a mic either LOL ;p Amy, you look so good to be out and about as much as you have been. Brooks is around 6 weeks? I loved Clara's pics too. Hope you all have a safe and wonderful time on your way to the beach and back.

Janet I love the videos!
