This one was for Lonnie!
By the way I will bring brown beans, corn bread, onions, and a crock pot of mac and cheese. What was decided about drinks?
The Hutsenpillers will be there on Saturday but only long enough to eat. We are moving Emily and Zac that day. Lonnie, Marsha, Shawn's family and Cindy's family all said they would be there on Saturday. We went to Ariels graduation party yesterday and had a really good time. Of course Mommy had a good time because she was at Lonnies. Ariels graduation was Saturday night and she was Salutatorian! And I hear she did an excellent job on her speech. We had planned to go but things just didn't work out. Mommy forgets every day that she is having a party on saturday so every morning she is surprised and excited all over again! Amy, it's just like when she found out you were pregnant! What do you all think of her photoshoot!? She absolutely had a blast. Its no wonder Daddy liked taking so many pictures of her. She is a very good model.
Mommy will be with me all week so if anyone is coming in on Friday evening feel free to come by for a visit.
Colin and I will be coming for Mommy's B-day, but Dan will not. Rita, I have a double cakepan and could bake a B-Day cake if you would like. I have two 1-gallon cans of Bush's baked beans I can bring. I can also bring macaroni salad. Rita, just let me know what you want me to do.
Mornin All~
Just want to see who is coming to Mommy's B'Day party. If you would chime in on the blog then we will have an idea about how many hot dogs and buns to buy. I have invited Georgia and Carol and Mary...If you can think of anyone else...please invite them. Trish if you would invite Elmer and Vera and Jesse and Helen, Bill and Geneva...
We also need a cake..It doesn't have to be storebought and it doesn't have to feed everyone. A homemade one would do just fine. If noone else volunteers, then I will make one. I will have Mommy so it will be hard for me to buy one and pic it up.
Are we having Hamburgers too and if so we will need the fixin's.
Anybody think of anything else? Please say so. We want to have enough. Mommy is excited about her family gettin' together at the Homeplace. I'll call Marcia since they don't have internet now.

More Trout

Tim that one sure looked nice. Michael and Devin got into the act today and landed these nice speckled trout in the Gulf. It was Devin's biggest at 16 inches. Michael's was 18.
Won't be able to make it in for Mom's cookout but will be thinking of you all. May try to call her that day.

We will be coming in on Friday for grandma's birthday. We're going to stay with Paul and Addy. I'll make a fruit salad and an angel food cake with fruit like the one I made at Steve's for Kelsey's graduation party. Happy belated birthday Julie ;) We took Marleigh on her first "mall" trip today. She went shopping for great-grandma Vivian!! She is now asleep at moms, I think she got tuckered out just a bit.
Love you all,
MP3
Mommy is wondering who is coming in for her cookout ? She is excited. Talking about "her people". Lonnie treated us to lunch today at the carriage cafe on rainelle. It was really good and mommy ate well. It's located in the building that marsha used to work. I was showing her some pictures and she said she would like to go to her old house but was afraid I didn't know the way.
By the way David nice fish. Makes tanner jealous!

David, Here's your competition.

You all made My Day

Thanks for all the wishes on my Birthday. Ruth, you shouldn't have told me I was old. I didn't know I was old at 57 and now I'm depressed. Ha! All your birthday wishes made my birthday special.
Michael, David and I went fishing Saturday in the Gulf and this 21 inch speckled trout will now be mine to grill! We caught a few others too but this was the biggest one.
Love you all, Julie.
Happy Birthday Julie, May the Lord bless you and yours and keep you in all your ways.

Summer you are indeed a beautiful young lady! When did you get all grown up~is what I want to know? I know your parents and grandparents are so proud of you guys. And you look so good together too!
Addy, when you were in high school you wrote a poem about your grandma. Could you dig that out and post it here for us to read. You entered a contest with it I think. With her birthday coming up, I would like to read that again.
We are getting a good soaking down here too!

Summer~ You look magnificent:) What a lucky guy!
Summer's date for the formal is Corey Cox. He lives here in Rainelle and is the son of Curtis and Sandra Cox.
Summer~You are absolutely beautiful. Grandma liked the boots. Who is Corey? Grandma is doing good this morning. She ate a huge breakfast and we are just laying around watching it rain. Mommy is looking forward to her Birthday Cookout, talking about everybody being there.

Summer you are beautiful! Who was the lucky guy and I like the boots!

Hey Everybody,

It sure has been a busy day today! Mom and Dad brought Grandma over for dinner, Paul's parents came as well. I fixed Chicken Pot Pie (Bobbie's recipe!), salad with baby spinach, strawberries, grapes, broccoli, and dressing, and for dessert...chocolate pound cake and chocolate cake with chocolate-peanut butter dressing! Needless to say, we will all be a little fatter the next time you see us!
Grandma ate really well today. Even had two pieces of cake! But she said next time I could fix her dumplins. When Mom told Dad we were having Chicken Pot Pie he thought I was making one of those frozen deals! Can you believe it? He must have misunderstood and thought he was going to Janet's, sorry Janet couldn't resist.
After dinner, the men folk went ou to the garage and us ladies sat in the living room and visited. Grandma went to the bathroom but wouldn't sit down on the seat because she said my house was too cold! haha, I'll have to get a seat warmer for her! Now I am just scanning some pictures and listening to the rain.
Our family has been praying for careers and career changes for some time now, and something tells me those prayers are in the early stages of being answered!
Paul put in an application last Monday at Lewis Chevrolet in Beckley, and they told him they would be calling throughout the week to set up interviews for this past Friday. We prayed and waited, and Thursday evening rolled around and we hadn't heard anything. Friday morning, Paul was on his way to Beckley to drop off his resume where Matthew works, and PRAISE THE LORD Lewis called to schedule an interview for Friday afternoon. We should know something by Tuesday, but they gave him a tour of all the offices and asked him if he could start Wednesday if they called on Tuesday. They told Paul the job was between two other guys, one doesn't have a liscense and the other didn't seem interested after he applied.
Well, I've rambled on long enough. So everybody take care, and I pray your day has been as blessed as ours!

Love to All,
Addy and Paul

Morning All~ Mommy got up this morning and was fine but after a while she asked me who I was. She didn't know me. So I asked her if she remembered Trish..her baby girl and she said no. She cried and said "I can't remember." I asked her if she remembered her husbands name...she said no..then asked me where he was and I told her he had gone to Heaven a few months ago. She said she didn't remember. I showed her a picture of Daddy and she said she didn't remember him. I showed her a pic of Lonnie, Trish, and Bobbie on the blog. She didn't know who they were. She asked when she was going to get to meet some of her family. She asked me where she was. I told her my house and she said, "Well, who are you?" I asked her if she remembered Jacob, Tanner and Emily...showed her Tanner on the blog and she didn't remember him. Then Blain got up and came into the Living room and said "Good Morning!" I asked her if she knew who that man was and she said, "Blain". I told her we were going to Addy's for dinner today and asked her if she remembered her and she grinned and said "yes." She seemed her normal self after that. We were watching "Jentzen Franklin" on TV and "out of the blue" she said, Daddy use to watch him. Just thought you all should know. We went to church last night and I think, the whole church came to hug her. She seemed to know all them.
Also, please don't buy her any dusters, housecoats, nighties or anything to sleep in. Trish and I, both, have plenty. At my house, we sit out on the deck and she likes to look at all my flowers in the pots and baskets. I went to the greenhouse the other day and bought a bunch and she watched me plant some of them. I told her we would watch them grow and bloom. She could use pretty things for her hair. Combs with flowers or something, just not heavy ones. Other than that, I don't know of a thing, unless it would be a nice church dress. We get all dolled up for church! Something with pretty colors, not dark. Maybe a Red Dress!!

Saturday, May 15, 2010

Our church had a walk-a-thon and cookout at the park yesterday evening and Marleigh strolled 2 miles! Her dad had bought her some shades before we went so she tried them out during the festivities. She actually seemed to like them :) She had her two best buds with her too (baa baa). They go everywhere together!

Friday, May 14, 2010

Lonnie~ Kaiden and I stopped by, but I am sure that you were out on the town. The door was open so we left your card. Kaiden didn't really say much while we were there and we didn't talk about you all evening. When we got home tonight and were getting ready for bed, he said "Maybe afterwhile we can go to Lonnie's other house." I said, "the cabin with the pond?" His eyes lit up and he went into talking about the 4-wheelers and the boat and of course, the big tractor. Sorry to tell you, but he must have been disappointed by your "regular" house. It is amazing what kids say and remember. Sorry we missed you. We'll stop by again soon! Love ya!
I will bring a crock pot of brown beans and onions for the beans and hotdogs and cornbread. I think it works out good if everyone brings their own favorite drink. Maybe steve will make tea to go with it;). Mommy isn't really needing a lot of stuff for her birthday but she does enjoy looking at the flowers. When she is with me we sit on the porch and she remembers who got her the hanging baskets. She did ask for a new head scarf! Smelly perfumes and powders are good. Hair combs and ribbons for her hair are good too.

As far as I know we will see you on grandma's birthday. Not sure what I am bringing yet~ I'll wait and see what I feel like making...pumkin cheescake anyone? Just kidding:) Love to all!
Steve said around lunch time. Let's say at 1:00
HA! Isn't my husband the jokester posting that while I'm asleep in the bed right beside the computer desk! He will pay dearly :) We will plan to be at Grandma's birthday party, I'll let you know later what we will bring. What time will it be? Will we all need to bring drinks again? Grandma does look like she had a blast. Did she find the pedi relaxing? I'm in need of one myself. I had one done a few months before I had Marleigh and haven't been back since. For some reason Mark calls me Eragon at times. What's that all about lol :p
Wow, looks like Mom had a beautiful day getting all the works, I bet she really is feeling all dolled up now, getting ready for her birthday,Sure sounds like it will be a fun time at the homeplace for Moms birthday, I know she will enjoy it.

Mommy's Birthday Cookout

Steve has invited everyone up to the "Homeplace" for Mommy's Birthday Cookout. It will be Saturday May 29th. I asked Mommy what she thought about that and she is tickled Pink that we're having it there. We will need to know who is coming and what they are bringing. Mommy is buying the weiners and Buns. We will all bring the fixin's. I'm bringing Banana Pudding and Chili for the Hot Dogs. We will need to get a good cake. The kind with Whipped Creme Icing is best just don't buy it from the Kroger on Harper Road. Right Monica??? Mommy said all of her family likes beans so somebody could bring some of them. LOL
Mark you are too funny:)

I tried to send this once and It seemed to fail so if it shows twice....
Mommy and I went to Beckley today for a runaround day after we stopped by to see Lonnie. After we got back in the car, Mommy said out of the blue, "she sure does take good care of him" so Kudo's to you Marcia!! Mommy had her first Pedicure and Manicure today. I didn't know how she would take to the Pedicure at first, but before she left she told Andy that she would come back again. He kept calling her Mom and tellin' her how pretty she was. I think she was blushin'. He also kept teasing her about painting her nails BLACK. She pointed her finger at him and told him "only clear." That's what she was laughing about.

Now I know why it takes Monica so long to take a shower!!
