Theresa Yvonne Schoolcraft
DAYTON, Ohio — Theresa Yvonne Schoolcraft, age 53, of Dayton, Ohio, formerly of Maple Fork, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in the Hospice Center in Dayton, Ohio, following a sudden illness.
Theresa was born on April 8, 1958, in Dayton, OH, to the late Denvil C. Schoolcraft, Sr., and Blanch Walk Schoolcraft.
Theresa was employed by TIG Wood and Dye of New Carlisle, OH, a member of the Maple Fork Baptist Church, a former employee of Walmart in Beckley and Lake Stephens in Surveyor, WV.
Theresa was a timid, selfless individual, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her rosy red cheeks and shy laughter will be missed by all who knew her.
Other than her father, she was preceded in death by numerous aunts and uncles.
Those left to cherish her memory are her mother, Blanch Schoolcraft of Dayton, OH, two brothers Ronald Lee Schoolcraft of Dayton, OH, and Denvil “Bud” Schoolcraft and his wife Cindy of Fairfield, OH; three sisters, Deanna Ball and her husband Terry of Wilmington, OH, Karen Haston and her husband Eddie of Dayton, OH, and Gay Ellen Salzman of Cleveland, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will sorely miss her.
A celebration of Theresa’s life will be held on Monday, March 19, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Maple Fork Baptist Church on Maple Fork Road with Vernon Barley speaking.
Theresa will be laid to rest alongside her father in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Prosperity, WV.
A visitation will be held at the church between the hours of 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening.
